Mmmm, imagine how many of those lil' buggers crawled down his mouth while he was asleep before he found that hive.

Would put you off sleep if you woke up with loads of them tiny buggers in yer mouth.............or the massive one stuck half way in.........with it's thick legs wriggling away in your mouth trying to get a grip on your teeth and biting away on your tongue............lovely!!

you could get some of these yokes to eat your spiders. Personally i would prefer the spider. Imagine one of these crawling on your spine or up your trouser leg

I don't know the actual story behind this I just got it in an email with the caption "Actual photo taken in a guys house in Australia" and thought I'd share..

Don't open this if you have a spider phobia :o

    Ahh...arachnaphobia...what a film...

imagine that was how we all got rid of spiders from our houses...

although isn't it true that theres about 4000 spiders in an average garden or somethin like that?

    little feckers...

    This was better :D

Don't understand the "eww" & "horrible" responses from people but that is one big f*cking spider (using the roof borders as an approximation of scale since they all tend to be about the same size in different houses)!

All I'll say is thank **** I havent seen any of those bastards over here

Knowing my luck though I'm bound to discover them on my bed tonight :(

Its a just a big Wolf spider in bad light. They are harmless and run away from you.
They will bite, and it would probably hurt, but it definitely wont kill you, it would barely even make you sick.
I have shaken funnel webs out of gardening gloves and had my dog killed by a tiger snake. You get used to it.

What ye need in Oz is, perhaps, a modern-day St Patrick...

All the more reason to celebrate on 17th March...no snakes!!!!!

Nothing a can of lynx and a lighter wouldnt sort.....

    Exactly what i was thinking.

There is only one thing that creatures like that understand - Fire.

Is that one called the bird eating spider as well, I remember reading about how the biggest spider in the world was the bird eating spider (as big as a diner plate) but it was fairly harmless and didn't actually eat birds.

I doubt that is anywhere near as large is it looks. Its the baby spiders that make it look huge. Look at the web in the pc. That spider for instance is not as big as a tarantula.

Could easily be a simple big Irish house spider with baby spiders in the pic and looking a monstrous thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

dont even joke about those things having a relation to ireland

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,060 ✭✭✭Niamho!

i reckon its fake. the Web looks fake. Very Fake.

I didnt realise Tarantula's shed their skin...there ya go just felt like throwin that in.

Ah now why didn't I just heed the warning. That's the ickiest thing I've ever seen. If I saw that scene in the flesh, I'd be the wrong side of a heart attack.
