there's an application called isim which I installed using installer that allows this

Caller Id

Guys running a out of box 1.1.2 iphone on vodafone and stealth sim, my caller id is working for mobiles but not land lines as they are one digit shorter than the iphones required length for id to work, anyone any fixes for making the 1.1.2 iphone identify our dublin based numbers etc? Its a right bummer

Thanks for that, but it doesn't keep multiple phones number under the same name intact. So if you have three numbers under one name on your old phone, it imports them as three separate entries on the iPhone.

Guys , Need your help here . My iPhone shut down this morning and is now only displaying a yello warning triangle with a message "please connect to iTunes" .

Any idea whats up , if I connect to itunes will it aotomatically update ?

Forgot to mention it was 1.0.2 and fully working .

Forgot to mention it was 1.0.2 and fully working .

you need to download 1.0.2 firmware then connect to itunes press and hold shift key then press restore in itunes box will pop up browse to where you downloaded 1.0.2 to and restore from there.

When it is finished restoring you will have to jailbreak again

Before you do that you could try ibrickr to reboot the phone might take it out of recovery mode for you

Ibrickr should see that the phone is in restore mode and ask you if you want to reboot it wont do the restore just get it out of restore mode.

To do the restore you would need itunes

install iWorld from installer and change the settings to Ireland and it'll work grand.

i found that with contacts with multiple numbers on my SE k800i when i transferred them over to the sim it would split them into three separate contacts, i'm assuming it's got something to do with the sim card not being able to deal with multiple numbers for same contact and it's actually the software on the phone that allows you to have multiple numbers for a contact.

To be honest, I wasn't really expecting it to work, more hoping. I tried transferring all my numbers from my SE w810i to my SE P1i as well and encountered the same problem.

I did manage to transfer all my contacts to my address book on my Macbook though, with all the contacts intact. I wonder is there any way to transfer them from that to the iPhone?

Sync them in iTunes with your iPhone.

Just to let ye know that the "anysims" that were discussed here a few pages back do actually work and can be got from ebay for €59 inc postage. Please note I have no affiliation with the seller on ebay you can check his feedback and you'll see my comment if you wish. All I'm tryin to do is help a few others who have the 1.1.2 otb Iphone and save them the €150 or so that they'd spend on the turbo sim. If anyone wants details I can post the username of the seller from ebay.
