    Derby v Liverpool, 15:00 AWAY
    Everton v Bolton, 15:00 HOME
    Portsmouth v Arsenal, 19:45 DRAW
Sunderland v Man Utd, 15:00 AWAY
    Tottenham v Fulham, 13:00 HOME

    Wigan v Newcastle, 15:00 DRAW

Man City v Blackburn, 19:45 HOME

A bit previous, but its the only way to beat cson :p

Chelsea have got a looming keeper crisis with Cech laid low during the Blackburn game, Cudicini is still out. If Arsenal are as slack as against Spurs I can see a minor upset. As for Hammers/Royals - a team that hardly wins at home meets a team that can't win away - should be quiet then.

Derby will be up for it, Rafa will tinker and I'll be praying.

    Mike.

I fancy Villa to break the stamford bridge deadlock this weekend. Chelsea were made fight against blackburn and were lucky to come away with 3.

Fancy Villa to take it right to them here. Prob the best match on paper too. Pompey/Arse maybe decent watching too.

Chelsea have got a looming keeper crisis

Am I the only one who doesn't see what the problem is? Hilario gets thousands of pounds each week, surely he should be good enough to cover at least a couple of games whilst the others are injured. Made one quality save against Blackburn.

Certainly not enough reason to change ones opinion on a final score, in my opinion.

Not as far as I'm aware, West Ham and Pompey are both on Sky.

Gunnarson off for Reading, and they were playing well. FFS.

Two footed lunge, but I still thought it was fairly harsh for to be a straight red.

60mins with ten men in going to be hard for my new team.

is it not in the rules that if both your feet leave the ground in a tackle it is a sending off offence?

Personally I think they are just paying for the tactics they used during Mourinho's reign. He used the same 11 week in week out non-stop, which is great, but it puts a lot of strain of the body. Lampard played an absurd amount of games in a row, something that if he was at any of the other top 4 clubs would never have happened. Terry and Lampard went through injections to play a lot of games, you don't do tht without risks, and I think the risks are coming back down.

More referees are stamping down on them (pun well and truly intended), so they are being highlighted more.

Are you saying that there are more two footed tackles and lunges happening in today's game, than back when that team of Murderers played for Leeds? Serious?

    Football has no rules.

It has Laws, and the referee is the judge and jury as to what way to interpret the laws.

    Law 12

    XII Fouls and Misconduct
Fouls and misconduct are penalised as follows:

    Direct Free Kick
A direct free kick is awarded to the opposing team if a player commits any of the following six offences in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:
    ...
    jumps at an opponent
    ...

    Disciplinary Sanctions

Only a player or substitute or substituted player may be shown the red or yellow card.

    Sending-Off Offences

A player is sent off and shown the red card if he commits any of the following seven offences:

    # is guilty of serious foul play
    # is guilty of violent conduct

    # spits at an opponent or any other person
    # denies an opponent a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within his own penalty area)
    # denies an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the player's goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick
    # uses offensive, insulting or abusive language
    # receives a second caution in the same match

So, the ref may have interpreted the two footed lunge as jumping at an opponent, and being serious foul play and violent conduct.
