    this is the most basic question ever but how do I get my itunes to register my iphone...i have managed to put the phone into recovery mode but itunes is doing nothing!...is it my pc...it keeps trying to look for installtion discs for the phone and then says it might not work properly coz it couldnt find any...ive read every page on iphones and I seem to be the only one with this level of problem! ...head wrecking...:confused:

    I can get an iPhone from Chicago on Christmas eve, I presume it will the be the very latest of everything and so on. Making it 1.1.2 etc. From my research, I've a good idea how to jailbreak and unlock a 1.1.1 iPhone. Is the jailbreak process the same with the latest phone yeh?

    So with the Stealth sim, its a case of jailbreak the bitch and pop in the sim (cut) + stealthsim and we're off?

    When you say itunes is doing nothing, Do you mean itunes is not even opening or is the iphone simply not being recognised by itunes?

    it doesnt register the phone, itunes opens but thats about it...although it doesnt open automatically when the phone is plugged in, I had to open it and then didnt know what to do as all the help pages say it should help you along! ..it may be a usb port issue on my pc...thats the only reason I can think of...cant check my theory til later but any guidance would be very useful

    What software ie windows are you running? Also when you plug the iphone into the computer does anything come up in the iphone, Ie Charging etc?

    im using windows, when i plug the phone in the pc acknowledges new hardware and starts to look for software to download for it...it knows its an iphone but when it cant find the software it says that the new hardware may not work properly...itunes does nothing unless I open it seperately, the phone doesnt charge either

    Hi Dan.... I am having a nightmare on this site. I have registered and recieved an e-mail to confirm my details but when I try to log in and buy the stealthsim it does not accept my user/pass.

    I did mail the site but no reply yet. I REALLLLLLLLLLLLY want to set my 1.1.2 free from my 02 uk sim card.

    You need to have xp for it to work with the iphone.

    Lads, since upgrading to 1.1.1 i havent got the caller ID on my phone (everytime anybody calls it just comes up there number instead of there name)

    I remember there was a simple fix for this using just the handset but i cant find it! Can somebody point me in the right direction to fix this!

    Hi,

    When people on this site talk about downloading files etc. (say a file to solve youtube not working for the sake of the question), do they mean do it from the actual phone or download from desktop/laptops and then transfer somehow?

    you can use the installer to download any applications you will need

    i had the same problem with my phone when i was using an external usb port, are you connecting it directly into the computer?

    Can you try a different PC or laptop so you can rule out the USBs or does other stuff work with those USB ports

    Are you using the cable that came with the Iphone and not a cable from an old Ipod

    Or if you upgrade to 1.12 then run iWorld it should fix it

    im just trying it on my laptop now incase my pc is just crap..fingers crossed!!
