    No 10.4 is a different OS than 10.3 you have to buy it you can free upgrade from 10.3.0 to 10.3.9 or from 10.4.0 to 10.4.11.

    I did the hackymyifone guide to upgrade to 1.1.2.

    I have done it all and when i got it up to 1.1.2, it wouldnt accept my sim (even though i had done the sim unlock as guided previously). I installed and ran simunlock andnow the phone wont boot!

    It just brings me to the black screen with the apple in middel!

    Help!

    i think you will have to restore it, what firmware were you on before you updated?

    well i did but if you really want to update to 1.1.2 you should install oktoprep before you do, is it working for you on 1.1.1?

    I am on 1.1.1 after downgrading back to that. I am trying to run anysim 1.2.u but it says it says 'anysim cannot unlock this phone'

    ARGH! what next

    its the same as mine was, youve screwed up your baseband, go to sources in the installer, tap edit(top right) then add (top left) then type in i.unlock.no and tap ok, press the home button to take you back to the springboard and tap installer again, look for the category unlocking tools and install the virginiser, you will then have to restore your phone to 1.1.1 again, when you do add the same source again and find anysim 1.1 run that and it should unlock your phone, make sure you install bsd subsystems and open ssh, and make sure you run anysim 1.1 NOT 1.2

    dan , i installed iSwitcher earlier and i found some great themes(simpsons etc.) but they were mostly for 1.0.2 do you know any good sources for similar themes on 1.1.1?

    Yeah thats the one , if the best themes are actually online and your can import them into your iphone, dunno any sites off the top of my head though i got my theme online and imported it.

    yes, ive installed summerboard, and thats the type of themes im looking for!!!!!!!!! is there nowhere i can just install them or even using ibrikr?

    Well the themes you installed via installer are in the summerboard app on your springboard.

    i dont have a summerboard app on my springboard and ive checked and its definately installed(its under uninstall in the installer)

    It's also very easy to make your own themes. If you SSH into your phone you can then play around with different icons that you prefer from other themes and drop them into a new folder on your PC/Mac and then just drop the folder into the phone.

    You can also make a Facebook kind of app for the phone hitting will laucnh you into the web app.
