That's not the same thing as 'safari cannot open the page because it cannot find the server'. My guess is that jailbreakme.com may be down, but jailbreak.unlockthatiphone.com is OK. Try again and again, using the latter site.

Have you automatic lock switched off and do you slide to unlock and leave it there for about 5 mins? It only takes me 20-30 seconds but I have heard it can take up the 5 mins.

yeah ive turned the auto-lock off and ive left it there for up to an hour without anything happening,it seems to be trying to do something as it gives a little flas after i hit install appsnap, just about 1 second after it throws me back but its not rebooting, ive tried turning it off and back on but still no joy

now im getting the same message that it cannot find the server on the jailbreak.unlockthatiphone.com but then it just comes in, ill try later im asuming the server is busy

Since you're getting 'safari cannot open the page because it cannot find the server' on 3 different mirrors, could your local wireless network be at fault?

restore and start again.Also if you have wep turned on on your router turn it off.

No I never got vodafone edge working and a couple of others on here couldn't either. o2 edge worked perfectly though(but still really expensive!). Remember, vodafone don't even have an edge network(slow gprs and 3g only) so if you'll be using mobile internet you're better off with o2 as it's faster.

Just tried it again now and it worked first time

Connected the iphone to itunes till itunes recognised it then disconnected it
then did the #307# then jailbreakme.com safari crashed back to activation screen slide the unlock and left it there about 10 seconds later iphone rebooted and hey presto
springboard with appsnap.

Don't know whether the connecting to itunes helped but read it some where that it does

I have a question about turbo sim, this may benefit others also. Can it be used multiple times. Say I use turbo sim so with my Irish sim card and at a later date I move to a different country, can I use the same turbo sim on another sim from that country?

Also I found this matrix very useful for figuring out what can be done with the different versions of firmware.

I've been thinking about ordering the sim freer for a few days but I've noticed their live support is never online and they warn not to order when they are offline. Anyone had any dealings with them? I'm starting to get a little suspicious.

cdebru, your a genius, worked like a charm first time, ok im now ACTIVATED on 1.1.1 , i install bsd subsystems, open ssh, oktoprep and the virgisiner pack, so di i run anysim after that, and what version?

I'm having problems synchronising my contacts (Email addresses & Phone nos) with my iPhone. Its a jailbroken week 47 with the 4.6 bootloader. My friend with the exact same phone had no problems but it just wont work for me. I exported my email contacts from my gmail account and then exported my phone contacts from my current phone (samsung z400v).

I cant get both files onto outlook for starters and when I try to sync my iPhone with the contacts currently on outlook, they just wont transfer.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
