My wife wants a nintendo DS with some brain training games for christmas. i don't know anything about them. can anyone point me in the right direction as to where the best place is to get one at a good price? perhaps bundle deals with brain training included?

i popped into Virgin and Game in Liffey Valley today. They are all out of them at the moment. Game say that they will be in next week.

any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!!

what is a ds lite? different to a standard ds?

thanking all in advance for your help on this important matter!

The DS Lite is a newer model of the original DS (and its the only one that can be bought in the shops), so its not an issue for you.

My advice? Grab one ASAP - I think they're going to be in shorter supply the closer we get to Christmas.

If you can convince her to wait, I'd get her a DS Lite from Asia -- try Play-Asia.com.
Just remember that it needs a Universal/European charger.

Oh, and the reason I suggest an Asian model is because they have nicer, exclusive colours ;)

looking for a DS for the girlfriend - anyone seen any for sale in dublin city centre? the places I've tried have been saying they are arriving regularly, but I'm getting pretty fed up looking....

Gamestop (in Wexford) had them this morning, so it might be worth trying your local brach. If one got delivery, they all may have

Anyone ordered one off Play-Asia.com? The US ones will work here with an adapter right?

Man, the DS is selling as fast as the Wii was. I was looking for the DS all night. No one has it - smyths, argos, pcworld. Does anyone know if any retailers still have them? :(

yeah i'm thinking of getting one there, but the customs will be ridiculous, 30% extra at least.

Damn! Is it free shipping though? Because nowhere in Ireland has them until at least the 14th I think. And theres great bundles on Play-Asia. I'm getting a Metallic Rose one with Nintendogs. That color isnt even here yet.

i need to come to inform that was walking around Henry St. today, there was a sign of 'NINTENDO DS OUT OF STOCK' in front of HMV....even HMV is running out of DS...

    good luck mate!

I'm seeing all the DS searching going on and I feel your pain. I'm heading home from the US next Friday 21st. I may be willing to bring a few back with me (I'm assuming it wouldn't be a prob from a customs p.o.v. as I live here). It's more out of helping a few boardsies out than out of me looking to make a quick buck - I'm especially sympathetic to fathers looking for pink ones for their daughters (ah bless)!

So if your maybe interested in meeting me somewhere between the $ and the yo-yo price (everyone's a winner) and can pick-up in Dublin (15) PM me and I'll certainly consider it if there's interest.
