Virgin are a rip-off then. I won't go there again. I got mine in Gamestop for E210 with ac pack and two games.

i couldn't get one and no one in game/gamestop/smyths/byrnes etc can say when they are getting them back in stock or if they'll be sold in 'bundles' again.. i ordered one off videogamesplus.ca last friday and am expecting it to arrive tomorro (well according to dhl it will be) so thats not bad

Thought i saw people buying them in Smyths, Blanch Fri (28th - prob gone now?) when I was buying a mains adaptor for a nice crimson one also from videogamesplus.ca. Came in a week and that included 2 weekend days and two Christmas days ... €127.88 on my CC!
Just check inside the box when before you sign, some bloke here received an empty box couple a weeks ago, courtesy of some dodgy dhl employee i think!

Can anyone tell me where I might get a charger for a DS Lite? I can't find them anywhere, and after paying through the nose for a US version (so that my other half could have it for Christmas) she can't use it now because we can't get a charger!! Any help appreciated.

I'm still looking for a ds. I didn't put too much effort in before Christmas thinking I'd pick one up no bother after - but they're still hard to come by! Typically I'm home sick and bored out of my tree!

If anyone knows of anywhere in Dublin/Wicklow you can get one could you please post?! many thanks

Yeah I'm looking for one as well, have always had good experience with play-asia so might order off of them. To be honest it would be a lot easier to pick one up in town (Dublin). Anyone have any idea of when stocks might be back?

I was in Game in Athlone last week and they had a notice up saying that as Ireland's largest games retailer, that they were working hard to source more stocks of the DS. I think the notice also mentioned the dreaded word February  I haven't seen any in the bricks & mortar stores at all. Argos has a limited stock of them but you can't reserve one. I've looked on a few online stores and they're still out of them. Why did they sell out? Did the people who couldn't buy little Dean and Chloe a Wii get them a DS instead?

Heh, yeah that's exactly what happened I think, panicked parents couldn't get a Wii for Christmas so they grabbed everything and anything with the word nintendo on it! Damn them!! But just put my order through on play-asia, they're out of stock of some of them (the obvious black and white ones) but I've ordered a nice silver one, don't think those ones are available in ireland! :)

So, I have converted the girlfriend to both the Wii and the DS, the final challenge awaits, get her playing the 360! Then life will be complete, ribbons and champagne shall descend from the heavens and all will be right with the world! :D

If I was to get a DS from play-asia, I'd have to get a European adaptor, right? What other differences would there be? Will I still be able to play European games?

Forget about Dublin City. Today I visited the following stores:

    Game Dawson St
    HMV Grafton St, Henry St
Argos Stephens Green, Argos Jervis St
    Smyths Jervis St
    And a few other places,

Not a DS in sight. Most places dont even know when they'll get them in. One of the HMV's said at least a month.

I came home and ebayed a red one in twenty minutes.
    The internet is great.

Really? If they have the empty boxes with the bundle and price on it does that not mean it's in stock? i was in HMV Grafton Street on Friday and they had loads of these boxes, I didn't ask them if they actually had any!

Hoping to get on for my mam before March!!

HMV Grafton St have loads in, black pink and silver all available. Pricey tho €149 for just the console alone, €199 for extras, they don't seem to be doing any good bundles.

yeah but usually for €10 extra they'd give you a bundle package with it, a game, accessories, etc.

Dunno about €10 extra. I paid €174 for a bundle pack in Smyths before christmas
