Nah, I liked the guy at the time, that's all that matters to me.

Yeah I do. Serves me right though for agreeing to a quiet evening in with Mary Harney.

yes and no. I was 13, it was a spur of the moment thing with a girl I knew and unsurprisingly it was crap. I think I learnt a valuable lesson from that.

The whole "right person" thing is BS in my opinion. The right person at the time rarely turns out to be the right person in the long term.

Yes I do. It was a drunken one-night stand and not particularly earth-moving. I did fancy the guy though but it was still a disappointment

God yeah I really do. But it taught me a lesson (don't bother with one night stands again!) so in a way it's a good thing it was such a crap experience.

Not at all, it was with my wife of over 3 years (currently) a few years before we got married.

She was your wife of 3 years before you had sex with her? JESUS :eek::eek::eek:

No regrets here... It may have been with a girl who was cheating on her boyfriend with me.. but we had good fun together... until it turned out she was cheating on both me and the boyfriend with some other guy who she ran off with and married, and his mother performed the ceremony...

But I guess in retrospect it's a pretty funny story...

No way. Still with him after 4 years (and I waited for 6 months until my Leaving was over! Pretty proud of that really.)

But hey, if you liked the person at the time, what's the harm?

I'm a bit of a romantic really, into all that 'the one' stuff.

    :D

Except I only drink about 3 times a year, and even then I'd only have 2 or 3!

I think I would like drunken sex though...but not as my first time. (Bit late for that now anyway!)

It can be fun because you're even less inhibited, but it usually ends up less satisfying overall (damn anaesthetic alcohol). Sober is always best.

My first was with my current love of 8 years, so it was certainly not regrettable :)

I think you have hit the nail smack on the head here Bomber. I'm glad nature isn't forcing me to take oestrogen. It seems like a very bad buzz to be on indeed and a huge stumbling block to ever feeling happy or contented about anything for very long.

First time - wrong person, wrong place (long story) and wrong time.

Felt like we were doing for the sake of it, out of curiosity nearly. Oh to be 16 again ...

My only regret about sex is Im not having it now, this is a common regret for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,458 ✭✭✭CathyMoran

I don't regret it as it was over 9 years ago with my now husband, having siad that, if it had not been with him I might have had regrets. He was very tender and made me feel special.

nah, dont reget it at all. im all for "meeting the right person" but lets be honest how the hell often does that happen. so i got pissed off waiting and ended up having a one night stand. was pretty good considering, but then again i wasnt looking for anything more than lust and we both wanted just that :)

Good choice there. I reckon sex cost me ~10 points in the Leaving. Didn't matter in the end cos I got my course, so everyones happy :)
