    I did'nt mean to nominate myself for running a league but I'm sure one of the mods here will be more than happy to do it?! As the right honourable pighead said, if this has no other benefit than breathing a bit of life into this forum then it has been a worthy exercise.

    Ideas for the league then folks?

    I think:

    Bets restricted to football only (no in-running & W-D-W only)

    Accounts only with traditional boomakers (no exchanges)

    One deposit of a fixed amt (no top-up or cheating, If your balance gets to 0 you're out)

    Any more ideas, who'se in?, who'se gonna run this. Bagsy not me.

    OP you should consider spliiting the bet once you reach a specified level. IE when you have 50 instead of betting 50 on one result bet 25 on one long odds result and 25 on another.



    Do not forget that these odds-on bets are being made cumulative so it does not need 1000 bets at 1/10 to make the equivalent of a single 100/1 shot.

    If you start with a fiver and bet on 1/10 shots you will pass the €500 mark on your 49th bet.

    I love doing this sort of thing. It never works because, as Mike found out, somebody will miss a penalty or Benitez will pick the under 10s for a game against Woking, but for the sake of a fiver it is great sport.

    Mike , unlucky , a worthy challenge.


    I think some form of league is a useful idea, i tend to stick to daft accumulators (see MUGG thread) rather than a target but it may be a worth a shot to see how many of the field could actually pull it off, would certainly make this forum a livelier spot if we could have 10~20 of us throwing our fivers around.


    oh..and Brandon is a spanner X 2.

    So the €8 or so becomes €30.26

    Its not amazing value or anything, but i think its defo +EV, they are winning here enough to make it so
