Was fiddling with an iPhone briefly over the weekend but since mine is due tomorrow I didn't want to use it too much so as to keep the excitement!

It is some piece of kit!!!

Great device, let down by some terrible omissions from the software:

- Inability to send contacts/pics/vids via bluetooth
- No video mode on camera
- But worst of all, for the 'Best iPod ever', you can't manually manage music.

Any news on the hack for the next version(s). If Apple do update with this sort of functionality, I'd be keen to upgrade the firmware...

I think its SO fu***d up that they removed the drag and drop functioanlity, I am rightly pissed off with Apple now!

To get youtube working use ibrickr and copy these three files http://rapidshare.com/files/58461644/youtube.zip.html

and copy them to /var/root/Library/Lockdown/

To sort out the +353 issue:

Currently iPhone cannot correcly match an incoming caller ID with numbers stored in your address book if one is in local format (without country code prefix) and the other is in international format (with +country_code prefix). I know some of us resorted to storing 2 numbers for each contact, but sometimes even that won't cut it.

This is a patch to make it work. Remember this is only a temporary solution, until Apple fixes it properly.

Extract to /System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework/ and overwrite the original. Reboot and enjoy.

Hey, I just tried to extract the tar.gz file. I got as far as frameworks, but there's no AppSupport.framework there. It's empty!

Was so looking forward to getting my iPhone tomorrow. Delayed at customs and wont be delivered until friday:(:(:( Hope I can collect it when im in Dublin on Thurs

It got stopped at customs, how was it sent? I hope u don't get stung and have to pay more. Mine was 470 dollars inclding the shipping, think that is about 330 Euro.

Getting mine from unlockthatiphone. How is yours going for u moe? Did you see in in the flesh before you bought it? I havent seen an iphone or an ipod touch in real life before and kinda worried bout its size

You won't have a problem with the size because its so sleek but you will be afraid to touch it or anything lol

Lol, i got to mess around with my brother's iphone at the weekend and the first thing i was shocked by was how small and thin it is- in the pictures it looks pretty big but isn't at all. Powerhouse is right, the iphone is ridiculously good looking and sleek- it makes you terrified of dropping it!

Nice:) Im so looking forward to getting it now. Mite be able 2 collect it whem im in Dublin on Thursday hopefully. Waiting to hear from unlock where i would pick it up. Bought a leather case for it. Waiting for it to be delivered. Working in another store today and was so looking forward to coming home and myiphone would be waiting for me:( Oh well

Was playing with one briefly on Friday and, like others say, the very first thing I noticed was how thin and sleak it is!

They had a problem at customs with some of the iPhones. They said they wont be delivered until friday. Sent an email last night and got a reply. Sent another one and did not. Prob sick of me emailing by now:o

I ordered an iphone over 2 weeks ago, was told it would be here monday, then tuesday, was told i was in first 10 then no response website is down and they are not replying to emails. Anyone else either get their iphone or having problems as i am starting to get worried. Maybe its just me as up to now I have heard nothing but good things about them.

You think they would send everyone an email updating them of delays

The last email I got from them was yesterday. I asked could i pick up the phone when I am in Dublin on thurs and stephen said yes, dnt know where to pick it up so i emailed back and am waiting for a reply.

Powerhouse Dan has bought one from them. Starting to get worried myself. Paid by paypal so if anything is wrong it will be sorted. Dont think anything is though

I was told i could collect in dublin on thurs but wasnt told where. They have been so good at communication up til now lets hope its a technical hitch. Bad form not to turn up or contact u. Anywhere we could get a number?

I just had email contact, and was told to leave my number and they will contact me. I guess its just a 1-2 man company so coming to dublin today and going back to cork must have taken their time, hence no replies to the emails, thats what I hope! But not informing us about the delay has no excuse, not gone down well with me! :mad:
