Taxi Driver Drinking- What to do?

I got a taxi last night and he seemed grand at first but when we were sstopped at the lights he took a swig out of a can of RedBull. When the lights changed he put the can away again and just kept driving. We weren't going very far and he certainly wasn't acting drunk (giving out about the Law is normal for taxi drivers, right?) so I decided that I'd just ignore it.
Now I'm thinking that maybe I should have taken down his number to report him later.
And that I should have gotten out and found a better driver or just walked the rest of the way.

    What would you have done?

I can't believe all of you think this is a laughing matter-the driver was drinking Red Bull FFS  OP-next time you see this happening make sure you get his number and a physical description so you can call the gardai immediately.

Red Bull - non alcoholic energy drink. Would you be as enraged at a taxi driver drinking Irn Bru 32 (like most of the ones in Glasgow at night do)?

I dont know, my money's on him being a bit simple like the OP.:)

Speaking of the op, can sopmeone track him down and make sure he knows he's being ridiculed for being stupid. Try get him to come back and post a reply if possible. I bet he uses one of either "OMG!!!!! how did you people not know I was joking/lightly trolling" or " my account was haxxxored by my 3 year old nephew"

This is AH, its fairly hard to tell if someones being sarcastic, dense, outraged or faking it. I went for the safe option of assuming they were dense and outraged :D

I would have been out of that cab like a shot, do you not know that Red Bull produce a special range ( just for Taxi Drivers ) contains undetectable ( by Intoximeter ) Vodka in it!!

I would have bailed out of the jo as its was doing 50 up griffith avenue, rolled along the road while drawing my walther PPK only to come up into a crouch and blow his tyres out causing him to crash into a nearby pillow factory. Which then would explode.

then I'd frown and spit "sunovaBEECH"
