Eh Brian, I think you are barking up the wrong tree. I pointed out that the other channel facility is perfectly within EU rules. I pointed this out because you said "I don't believe either that EU requires a satellite receiver to be able to receive FTA channels". DUH. :o

I never said you did. For gods sake Brian, read the posts carefully and if you want to reply to them - make sure you direct your reply to the right people.

Are you actually reading my posts are getting confused with someone else?

OK girls be nice or there will be bannings...

Any more arguing rather than posts of substance to the general readership and I lock the thread.

Actually Watty- you don't need any other card to do this. Basically do as you say and when Active loads just slip out the sky card and press back up. All channels as you indicate then load up. BBC1 London, BBC2 London, ITV Central W etc....May come in handy some time!

Something new is learned every day . Thanks. Works well. Though as Mrs Parsi says "you still have to get up off your a**" ;)

Sorry to be bringing up an old post but I couldn't find another related one in this forum.

I got sky+ installed yesterday (previously with NTL) and was horrified to discover that utv can not be recorded from sky+. This is my favourite channel and I'm tempted to cancel the service. I'm not sure if it's too late but I don't think the old video will work with sky now.

The original post is old. Is there any way to record utv on sky+?

Apologies and thanks all rolled into one :D

Only channels appearing on EPG may be recorded on sky +

TV3 show a lot of the same stuff. Also you now can tune in a better ITV region and ITV2, 3 and 4.

I also had the problem that I couldn't add ITV to my favourites. Is this still the case?

Jaysus, that's a bummer. I presume this is not going to change in the near future.

The sky+ was too good to be true. :(

Sky+ is a fantastic piece of kit. The lack of ITV does not change that.

Since changing to Sky the lack of ITV has not bothered me at all. Generally most of ITV's programming is pure rubbish anyway any most of it is already shown on TV3. There is maybe the odd show/movie or so that is worth watching but besides that I wouldnt notice much if ITV was to disappear off the face of the earth.

we dont have sky+ nor itv on epg numbers but the fact that were able to tune in ITV1 London instead of utv and ITV2,3 and 4 is great, those channels get watched constantly in our house and record onto a cheap dvd recorder, works perfectly
