Wasn't there a thread here before discussing who'd win between a Gorilla and a Polar Bear. Now that's a hell of a lot more interesting!
But is the polar bear fighting on home or away grounds, as that would make a big difference.

Polar bears aren't all that bright though.

Can we work hippos in here? They're the real man killers of the world.

Polar bears have been known to attack surfacing whales, killing them and feating on their flesh. Comparing their sizes, this makes polar bears the greatest killers in the animal kingdom.

The tiger would kill the gorilla.

If it was a polar bear against a tiger, it would probably depend on the environment, temperature. I'd assume, given the mental state of Dublin Zoo's polar bears, that heat is not their friend. Hmmm but then Lost tells me otherwise. Interesting.

I'd go for the Tiger over the Gorilla.

In the battle of cities, surely Limerick would win. :)

Can a penguin be entered in this? If Futurama taught us anything, its that they use shotguns.

Is the Killer Whale in it's natural environment? If it isn't, then it's screwed.

Tiger would win over Gorilla, I reckon. Tigers Rule :D

We'd have to arrange somewhere neutral. Perhaps Switzerland?

    Polar Bear
Gorilla (assuming it's a silver back here) would mince a tiger and/or a polar bear.
I too remember the Gorilla Vs Polar bear discussion.

    Atari Jaguar it is so.

    Edit/ Found it: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054883891&highlight=polar+bear+gorilla

one interesting quote, it's from '06 so it must be true.
a sliver back is as strong a 7 heavy weight olmypic weight lifters...so probably 14 or more times than average man

Oh and look at what this monkey can do against two tigers. http://youtube.com/watch?v=1AZn5nWIj_g(Ignore the crappy clow music, and imagine some death metal or rocky music.)

If that was a Gorilla, it wouldn't be pulling on the tigers ears, It would be punchin it's eyeballs in, and ripping its neck open with his hands, obviously. Then it would return to the trees.

As you can see the Chimp can do this because he is superior to them in every way...

First of all gorillas are omnivores, their main diet is plant based but they will eat meat in times of trouble.

Gorilla hands down. A gorilla has pound for pound 7 times the strength of a man, all felines hunt by jumping on their prey with their front legs apart, a gorilla can grab this legs and break them. Also gorillas have huge canine teeth

    Alien!
In the documentary that explored these fights a gorilla pounded a cheetah to death and a warus outclassed a polar bear.
Chimpanzees are as strong as 7 men, I don't know how strong a silverback would be but one punch could kill.
Five years ago at the Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida, a male silverback gorilla escaped from its enclosure. Do you know how? I think you'll be amazed.

Quite simply, he climbed the wall. No big deal, right? Well, take into account that the wall was designed to KEEP THESE ANIMALS IN - it's a very smooth and slippery surface, nothing for the gorilla to get a hold of.

But this wall had one tiny flaw that the gorilla discovered: a small crack big enough for the 450-lb ape to insert the first knuckle of his index finger. This tiny crack gave the gorilla all he needed to pull his entire bodyweight up the wall and escape a so-called impossible structure.
    Imagine the strength needed!
If a man was strong enough to benchpress a gorilla, the gorilla would still have no problem riggipn off that mans arms. :)
Even if a man was a powerful as a gorrila, the gorilla would still have far greater abilities from the way they are designed.

So in finality >_>, I don't know who would win, but people are underestimating the gorilla.
