I heard some businessman was giving him the use of his private jet to go look for her....
Oh for God's sake.It just goes from bad to worse doesn't it?...what good will any of those things do!Unless of course she happened,by some coincidence, to be hidden away in the plane that they got,but that is about the only way a plane could possibly help!

she's only small, no way would she be spotted from way up in the sky

Why do they need a private jet with all this money they're getting?

The disgrace is the circus around the whole event
Please God tell me you appreciate the irony of that statement and your continued involvment in this thread.

    Excuse me?
I am perfectly entitled to express my view on this overblown agenda, that has been overblown completely by the press. Whatever saying ignore it but when its in your facevmore or less 24/7 it gives you two option, either crawl under a rock or to express your frustations with it.

    That is what I'm doing.

For the next election, Fine Gael & Labour should hire the McCanns as media consultants.

They are absolute geniuses at getting media coverage.
    Future careers in PR?

Maybe they're saving their cash to pay for a babysitter for the twins.

Computer gamers can pray for Maddie at an altar in the online virtual world Second Life

Yeah, its getting too much now. Her father is starting to get on my nerves big time, he seems to be enjoying all the attention rather than looking any bit like a father whose daughter has been abducted. Time for the news channels to drop this story like stolen goods, maybe give an update when something interesting happens.

Unless another child goes missing, Sky News won't leave this story. It's perfect tabloid fodder.

I'm expecting a 'Madeline - Aid" style concert anytime soon now with balloons, yellow ribbons, candles, video montages before each act...

Jaysus, I was only joking, but now I doubt it's far off! A mate just told me he saw on Sky News this morning that all the big Scottish radio stations (the father is Scottish) all played a remixed version of Simple Minds 'Don't you forget about me' together at 8am this morning. Apparently, the 'remix' featured audio clips about the story (probably snippets from the parents pleading for her safe return?).
This is getting way too near parody stage now.

Unless a young, beautiful, photogenic child with respectible parents goes missing you mean. Lots of other children already have...

    hup ya boya!!! :D

I think it's gone beyond ridiculous stage now .... What use does doing a bloody tour of europe have? As previous posters have mentioned, the more this case is highlighted, the more likely it is for the possible abductor to panic.

Also, as I mentioned about a week ago somewhere on this thread... The 'are you a parent?' thing is getting very very .... very old now.

I doubt his parents have an audience with the pope

I hope the Pope uses his Pope powers to fly really fast around the planet, thus turning back time and then gives the McCanns a twenty to hire a babysitter for an hour while they went out to dinner, and then gives them both a good slap.

    Go Pope!

Thinking about it a bit more and after talking to my mother I have come to not "blame" the parents for leaving the kids.
It happens the whole time, those of us looking in from afar saying " I would never do that" probably dont realise that in that case you would never do anything.
Its not much different than leaving the kids in the back garden while you are updstairs or in the front room, someone could hop over the fence and nab them.
We cant hide childred in cotton wool, not eveyone is a paedophile or a kidnapper.
    They were just unlucky IMO.

I can see a re-release of the Simple Minds track, with all proceeds going to the Maddie Fund. I don't mind if it goes to some international missing children charity, but not so the Father can travel around by private jet. As we all know kids can be taken from backgardens shopping centres etc then you couldn't blame the parents. Also the Mccanns where on Holidays with another family were they doing the same with their kids?
Also read in the paper today the bloke they first arrested, they did find peado stuff on his laptop, but could not tie it to the missing girl.

Was just about to say the same thing.

Has anyone else seen those yellow ribbons creeping in here? saw a couple the other day in town, though it was english women on a hen party wearing them....

Thats Insane. How can they find peado stuff on a guys computer, and not connect it with a missing child? Unless it was just news articles or something, but if it was porno thats just insane.

Can I just say how depressing it was to spend a week on holidays in Canada and not hear a single thing about this, then on my arrival back into Ireland to be greeted with a big poster of Maddy looking for info! And this thread is the first thing Ive heard about a missing boy in cork :( I hope when I have children that Sky News deems them adorable enough to warrant this kind of attention.

right so loads of kids go missing everyday, don't you think getting at least one back is a good thing? if that means lots of media attention for a few weeks then who are ya to begrudge her or her family that?? if she has been grabbed by a paedo ring, can you imagine what they are doing to that poor child??

if ur fed up watching it on the news then turn it off and don't read that page of the paper...not much effort really.
