It's Eurovision Day. It will all kick off at 8pm, the 52nd Eurovision contest and it is being held in Helsinki (methinks)

Ireland song is likely to finish last
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=1k2ocvCIB_k

But isn't quite as bad as the UK's song

    :D

Ireland are on 4th, so the pain will be over quickly!

    Have a good night.

Ukraine are favourites at the mo.

I just saw that there are 42 countries competing for this. Since when did Europe consist of 42 countries? We should just have the eastern european countries competing as a single block nation. Deeply disrespectful I know but the thing has become unwatchable since their inclusion.

I'm watching with Terry Wogan taking the piss as usual. Eurovision is not the same without his commentary imho :)

Yep.. we normally do it in the TV forum...

But Eurovision has broad appeal so why not!

Get ready for the day of Rockening!

If Bosnia doesn't win the backing singers can always get jobs as mannequins in a shop window.

Which eastern European country will win? Can't wait to find out

And I hear that there are a load of rock acts this year, tell me, are they all just for-show bands like Lordi or do they play decent tunes?

I'm going with wogan this year... mainly because the picture and sound quality on BBC is better than RTE.

They also have a karaoke feature on digital interactive if you want to sing along.

She was woeful. As for her nasal "Sean Nos"-esque singing, so tuneful!

Finlands entry even has clearer English in it than our song.
