I just saw that there are 42 countries competing for this. Since when did Europe consist of 42 countries? We should just have the eastern european countries competing as a single block nation. Deeply disrespectful I know but the thing has become unwatchable since their inclusion.

I'm going with wogan this year... mainly because the picture and sound quality on BBC is better than RTE.

They also have a karaoke feature on digital interactive if you want to sing along.

Yeah it will be like that Father Ted episode by the end of the night. The song was crap and should never have been chosen originally.

It wouldn't have mattered if our song had been great though as the Eastern bloc will ensure one of them wins. It has become a farce...well, more of a farce anyway.

I think the western European countries need to break away from the rest.
