Dreaming in a different language?

I speak Castellano, and last night I dreamt that I was camping outside with various people I know. The dream was pretty normal for my dreams up until now (ordinary places but with certain details out of place) when one of the people in the dream (who, in real life, is in my Spanish class) said to me:
"Hay una tormenta" - There is a storm
To which I replied
"Sí, el cielo es muy oscuro, y creí que oir..." - Yes, the sky is very dark, and I thought that I heard...
At which point I woke up because I couldn't remember the word for thunder!

Anyone else think this is weird?

Same thing happens to me a lot; I speak French, and Spanish, and often I find myself using either of these two (or occasionally both!) in my dreams..

what weirds me out is that I seem to speak them better when asleep

Not exactly the same but I once had a dream where i was reciting poetry in old English- it might as well be a different language:) during the dream i became aware i was dreaming and was just hoping i could remember what i was reciting when i woke up.

hm - I'm German, but I mostly dream in English these days - and even when I speak in my sleep, it's English. Unless I dream about people at home, then I'd speak German (which confuses the boyfriend no end...;-))

That is odd, dreaming in Old English! I speak better Castellano when I'm drunk....atempts to get drunk before Orals in school never went down too well!
