    Anybody here remember the earthquake that hit the east coast of Ireland? It was either 1985 or 86 and it was during the summer.. That was pretty cool..

    I remember that night on the RTE news they were interviewing some oul wan who lived on the top floor of one of the ballymun towers and she was all "Jaysys, the ground was shaking and I ta i was gonna die"

    Experinced one in San Franciso during the summer, was sitting on a lazy boy type chair watching tv, when the ground started rumbling and the house started moving around my chair, twas fair cool.

    I was on the other side of the water then, wigan. It hit there too... i slept through it.
    Me mum didn't. She was none to impressed either when i told her it must have been the first time the earth moved for her in years.

    I live in Tokyo and you get them here fairly regularly. I hate them - Tokyo is well overdue a big one so when I feel one I keep expecting it to escalate ........
    I'm moving back to Europe soon, and they're one thing I won't miss, although knowing my luck the "big one" will hit in the 4 weeks before I leave !!
