What I think you misunderstood is that bluewolf, with a link, pointed out that most people, myself included, didn't actually know what karma meant.

So with that out of the way, I asked what did he think about what the OP actually meant.
That link is what the OP linked themselves which is why it's even more ludicrous, because it means the OP couldn't even be bothered reading their own link.

    Also, I'm female

Re-read my post and you'll see that I'm not promoting the misunderstanding of the word. Infact, I'm doing the opposite by suggesting that we come up with a new word for the "Victorian phrase" so that it's not confused with karma!

It's not my phrase but if it was then I'd change it to be just one word (different from the word 'karma' obviously) so people wouldnt get the two ideas mixed up.

Do you not think it would be better to educate people as to what Karma actually is, so that they can see for themselves that it isn't "what comes around goes around" rather than creating a new word that will be "karma, but different"?

From a mainly psychological perspective I dont think its unreasonable to say karma exists.

For example people who are kind to other people, seem to be more open and friendlier. This would lead to a less stressfull life and consequently better mental and physical health.
But if your not nice to others, i.e. you lie cheat steal often. The chances are you will become paranoid which will stress you out or that you have some machiavellian superiority complex which in that case will find it hard to develope loving relationships with other people.

Good **** happens to people in general, bad **** happens to people in general. Therefore I think that doesn't exist, its just the way life is, good **** will happen to you, and bad **** will happen to you.

    My, my I'm drunk.

I don't believe in Karma, but I heard a story from a guy that believes in karma a few months ago.

I was staying in a hotel in Napier, NZ. Went for a drink at the bar before it closed. Only a few of us there. The hotel manager was about and chatting to us.
The american tourists were realy nosey about his past, wife, family and all that jazz. Turns out, years ago his hotel was broken in to a gang of local maori scum bags. The wanted cash. They broke his jaw and few ribs during the beating they gave him. At the end of it beating, one of guys turned and shot his wife in the head while she was beside him.

The gang got away, but were found by the cops a while later. The guy that shot his wife was out of jail in 4yrs. He was only out of jail a short while when he wrapped his car around tree and died.

Because of that, he believes in karma.
