I have three phones. One I use in Boston, one I use in Dublin and one that I have for friends who come to visit from Ireland. I also have a big diamond ring from my ex and I have nice clothes. And no, I'm not about to tell you where I work. Do you see the point OP? Get to know her a bit better before you jump to those conclusions.

Was just curious abut this. I met a girl from eastern europe. She is very hot.
    Sounds very suspicious to me

Once is way more than enough my dear friend!

She definitely has something to hide, something BIG I daresay.

Trust no-one dear friend. Especially no one from EE. And no one that is very hot. And no one who claims that works in a bar.

OMG, dude you are doomed!! Sounds like KGB to me... Don't mess with them or they will mess you big time!
    huyfhgcjh wrote:
The clothes she wears are all desginer and worth alot.
And what about all those Irish young fella's reported as missing in the past couple of months? She chops them into pieces, and sells the organs to the black market... Her daily shopping at Brown Thomas is just peanuts for her...
    huyfhgcjh wrote:

Definitely KGB. They use diamond rings as communication devices. Big diamond is another clue that you deal with KGB. We all know they are not very advanced and still build big & bulky devices.

Am I being paranoid or is she up to something???

Paranoid?? You were just too naive to get involved in such a big mess! I'm sorry my friend, but it's too late... In a matter of hours she will steal your heart. Literally steal your heart, I daresay.

Hello OP. You are paranoid about this girl. Seems to me she is paranoid about you - she won't even tell you where she works.

Do you wear cheap clothes and tacky jewellery? Maybe she thinks you are dodgy........

But seriously. I worked in bar for a while, and not everyone I met first time would I tell which bar it was. There were some wierdos who would come into the bar then just to see you, when you don't want to see them, and it could make you feel a bit stalked. But you can't ask them to leave because it's a Public House. So, I think it could all make perfect sense that she doesn't want you to know where she works after only meeting you once.

Do her a favour and don't meet her again. You're so worried about her after one meeting that you post on an internet forum for advice.

Well, you just met her. Before that you were a complete stranger? You still are an unknown to her for all practical purposes, so just maybe she is being a bit cautious and not dodgy?

    Lap dancer, tbh.

my friends in the gardai and whenever he meets people he tells them he's a tiler until he gets to know them a bit better.

That's a bit sneaky. You should warn people when they're talking to a garda.

OP, I live in England, I have two phones, one for Ireland, one for England.

When I meet strangers I have no problem telling them what I do for a living but as for exactly where that office may be...it depends on the person.

I can totally understand a girl not saying where she works...especially in bar work! My gf did bar-work as a student and had to leave the pub on her own and walk home at 3 in the morning after clean up and long after all the punters had gone home. She didn't advertise that fact to strangers by naming the pub she worked in.

As for living beyond her means...thousands of people in Ireland own designer gear and all sorts of mod-cons that they can't afford...until the creditors catch up with them.

I have worked in a bar. I have been stalked. I would not tell you.

I have two phones. Meteor for the free texts. O2 for the 1c calls and texts at the weekend.

I think you may be a little paranoid...

I have 2 phones, and my better half wears nice clothes and has some tasteful jewelry. So what..... If I were the girl from the bar and I read this thread O,P I would run a mile. So what- she didn't tell you where she works- so bloody what. I'm abroad often and I sure as hell wouldn't tell anyone where I work, and other than correcting them that I am *not* English, wouldn't tell where I am from either.

I'm surprised that she could tell you at all that she won't tell you. The most EE people I met are barely able to say "Hi!"...

It is ok to call her a "pros**ute" and saying she is doing "drug trafficking" but it is not ok to say she can't speak english? Weird rules, TBH...

Actually you didn't so much suggest that she can't speak English, but that most eastern Europeans can't. The former is fair comment, the latter is a bigoted generalization.

I've found the opposite to be true actually. Most of the eastern europeans I know can speak english quite well.

I know what you said and I'm not arguing with the first sentence, but you seem to now be ignoring the beauty you came out with after it.

You said a bad thing. Admit it, say sorry and move on.

Not that I've found so far thankfully. I know people from various places but people from Warsaw generally seem to have the best english. They've spent most of their time in Dublin and have picked up a slight accent and it's hilarious at times, but in a nice way!
