Someone should just make him aware of this very thread. He'd especially love this bit of scandal for his show:

Can you imagine his reaction if somebody read that back to him as a quote. :D

One of the most uneducated discussion's in the history of man i think.
Gerry Ryan is obscenely stupid. The Dr he had on is possibly more stupid even though i thought that would be impossible and still live.

How can anyone take anything from that show...

I was going to take a few points and go through them but whats the point.

Creatine will make you sick - it doesnt work - its a dangerous "drug". They - it - them. Complete BS.
"When everyone in ireland was on ecstasy".

what about the girl that came on asking about "something"? She didnt know what it was but it had to be bad. And the doctor agreed without even knowing what it was. Kent Brockman take a bow...

"stateusque muscles only from protein shakes" - "you look strong but your not" - "the science backs up there's no gain from protein" - "he'll get a heartattack from progain"

Oh my god, the stupidity is shocking

I have never had any time for Gerry Ryan and suggest there is little point in worrying about what he or his listeners believe. It is just a daily soap opera.

As for O'Brien, I have never rated him nor many of his opinions on training or injuries. Getting a few things right is not an excuse in my book for gross errors elsewhere. He consulted twice on an injury for me and I believe it was money utterly wasted.

Generally I will not take advice from young or middle aged people in what I consider very poor physical shape.

    JAK.

However, you are all taking swipes at Gerry and its wayyyyy off the mark as he is just there as interviewer and will agree with what ever anyone says. He real culprit was the interviewee Conor from the doping agency.

Just saw this thread and feel I should add that he's not a member of the ISC Anti-doping committee anymore.

just listened to that part of the show today...thanks for the link guys.

That doctor was a fool. when the woman with the son strung out on progain rang in he said he didn't know maximuscle or progain....
come on if he'd done any research into the field at all...maximuscle would have jumped out at him...it's not like they don';t advertise.
