I think playing that bit marked the end of any childhood innocence for me.

That whole scene was a little wierd. At the whore house where you can peek in the key holes and hear all kinds of messed up conversations.

The bathing scene with all the guys....

I always went to the other room.

that was the one where cloud gets buggered!!

then your hp/mp is restored !!
cloud wakes up and one of those gay lads is on top of him!

So it was a choice between a steamy jacuzzi full of half naked men or being buggered in the dark! hmmmmmm.......

    Was there a third option???

My favourite part of the game was when Cloud just finished fighting Rufus and then smashed through the windows on a bike while the others were in a van.

Then u got to control Cloud on the bike and had to defend the van what a game pity i sold my playstation(i kept the game). I assume u can play it on PS2 iv never tried it tho!!

nay, it was one or the other!

that whole wall market was a tad queer, with all the cross dressing and the gay lads in the gym and such.... must have been the programmers having a larf!

Best Game Ever. Since i had a psone, i've got a ps2, xbox, xbox 360 and pc, but none of the games even compare to final fantasy 7. Finished it 12 times, but i still get the urge to sit down in front of the tv for a week straight. That's a sign of a class game.

indeed, although I have lost far too much of my life playing it. getting two master Knights Of The Round materia just takes far too long :(

Just reading about the bathing scenes. I remember as a 12 year old somehow missing that bit (incomplete costume or something). But i went back to play it again a year or two ago and I wandered right in. I was visibly shocked at that completely out of context moment. Brilliant though

Not many people actually know. They've slapped an "action RPG" label on it so that could mean any number of things.

I'd say it won't be though, similar to VII I mean.

I got this game when I was about 7/8 so whenever I replay it I get a great feeling of nostalgia.

Favorite part of the game was up until you leave Midgar. It seems to have an appeal of such innocence since armageddon hasn't started to come yet.

Favorite scene: The flashback in Kalm about Cloud and Sephiroth. Great to be fighting with someone who was so much more powerful than you at that stage. Ice3 etc just wowed me.

I played this once, i really enjoyed it but i wouldnt do it again! 45 - 50 hours is way too long to spend on a game.
