Sheer class, almost everything about the game i loved... the characters, the plot, the 'buster sword', Cid's sassmouth... everything. But i can see why people dont like it, i just dont share those views.

I loved it.
Over 100 hours game play-sex life= 1 unhappy girlfriend though!!!


(It's ok, she was studying for her finals in college)

I gave it to my brother and then his gaff got robbed . I agree though. 1 of my favourite games of all time. Dya reckon they still sell it anywhere?

i get it with all of the titles, but vii by far the most.
i would be walking around in work, and all of a sudden, a scene from the game would just pop into my head!

Yeah! I know the feeling....it's like, suddenly you remember that little village at the bottom of the las vegas place in the desert.....or suddenly you remember the fight on the platforms falling down outside the ? MAKO? plant in the first city....or the motorcycle chase.....or the flashback scenes to the town where they grew up...the list is massive

that game did have too much of an influence on me......!!!!

ive actually owned FFVII 3 times and its been stolen each time!!
ive bought it again on ebay on sunday for 15 euro and itll be here soon! oooh so many wasted (bah! well spent!!) hours to come!

i dont think its the best. i think 6 is the best with this a close second. dont really enjoy rpgs though cause i get bored with them very easy. i think the tales series is better cause you actually control the fighting.

There's no doubt that FFVII is the best game I own or ever will own. Nothing even comes close to its brilliance. Okay, Zelda: TOOT was certainly excellent, too, but FFVII had it all. Me too! It is always good to get the official guide on the second or third time playing so that you can see everything in the game!

Final Fantasy VII is available on more than just the playstation. It highlights a severe flaw in the concept of having a different forum on boards.ie for each console, because people who've played a game on a particular console are likely to post a thread about it in that console's forum, and players of the same game on a different format are going to end up missing out on a lot of the discussion over that game unless they go out of their way to trawl through all the forums for consoles they don't have. Very unfortunate situation, and I wish the admins would return it to the way it was, or at least divide it up some way other than by console.

edit: Oh, and it's also a request for the forum moderators to move the thread to the main games forum, so that players of the games on other systems can have a chance to sit in on the discussion.

Sure, the only other platform it was available on was the PC and nobody really played it in that. Playstation forum does seem the most logical place for it...

I know not many people did, but I did. Okay, where do you draw your magic line? Does a game have to have over 10% of the sales on the minority platform compared to a playstation for people to post it in games instead of playstation? 30%? 100%? It doesn't make any sense. You can't just grey the situation by saying "well, not many people played it on other formats". If it's a multiformat game, it shouldn't be in this forum.

I think even if it's a playstation exclusive game in a multiformat series it shouldn't be in here. It's all about who needs to see and participate in the topic.
