    Forgot to add this one...

Bosco - kidnapped and presumed dead....This from wiki..... During 2000, the Bosco puppet was stolen in a burglary of the Lambert Puppet Theatre's museum, and photos of it in various places around the world were sent to the media.

Sean Leydon - Local footballer who played for Leitrim and Connaught, he was a legend he was so good, died tragically at the age of 21 in the late 70s, not world famous but well known down this way, had a huge effect on me as I was only about 9 at the time.

    Others:
    John Lennon
    Luke Kelly
    Phil Linnott
    Kurt Cobain
    Dermot Morgan
    Veronica Guerin
    John Magahern

Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix, Jeff Buckley, Elliot Smith, Stanley Kubrick.

Same as Tar though, I wasn't upset, just would have preferred they... you know... hadn't died.

Oh and when Jonathan Brandis killed himself, because I had a crush on him when I was younger.

Danny Sugarman - He was the author of my favourite book, 'Wonderland Avenue'. He was a f*cking wild card so it's surprising it didn't happen sooner. Shine on you crazy diamond!

River Phoneix - He was so young and could have gone on to do some incredible things. He had real talent, much like his brother.

Freddie Mercury - I was brought up listening to Queen and it makes me sad even to this day when I think of it.

Bill Hicks - Most intelligent and funniest comedian ever imo. I would love to hear his views on the state of the world today.

The name John Ritter doesn't ring any bells but the other three should not have been a surprise to anyone. Irwin faffing about infront of letal animals, Best drank himself to death, and Tupac socialised with nasty pieces of work.

Only person whose death really surprised me was Kirsty MacColl.

Maybe i meant saddened as much as shocked tbh. Admittedtly thats onething that suprised me on the Irwin thread, it was as muchy shock as sadness. I first heard of Irwins death at 8am the other morning, when i turned on the radio and heard the second half of the sentence "The renowned environmentalist and entertainer, who was well known for his risky antics with snakes and crocodiles, was killed on the Great Barrier Reef filming a documentary"

From that I assumed it was Irwin, i was slightly shocked but tbh not too suprised, if you play with fire yil get burned. If id known of Tupac back in the day i wouldnt have been suprised given his previous shooting, much the same as you wouldnt be hugely suprised if 50 Cent was shot again.

Does anyone reckon that the video of Irwin dying is going to get out onto the net like Tupacs autopsay? Personally I wouldn't watch it and I hope that some sick minded individual doesn't get hold of it in the meantime..

I never knew tupacs autopsy was public... He was an idiot either way. The only video I ever saw of him was him spitting at a load of media people. What kind of person spits at other people??

The Steve Irwin video is in the hands of Discovery, rather than some camera guy so I doubt it will be released any time soon.

Aryton Senna - watching my hero on tv dying in that racecar was one of the saddest things I've seen

Thats another one for me yeah, so much worse when it happens "live" in front of you.

The creator of 'Fraiser' died in one of the planes that crashed into the Twin towers 2001.

I too was very upset when Diana died. I respected her as a person.

Will never forget the pictures of River Pheonix printed all over the papers when he died.
