Got to agree with the surfing suggestion. Works for me. Course you could just take a giant leap into the possibility that you might actually be completely wrong about absolutely everything.

    Yep.
If you were this guy, you'd be happy.

Anyone with any cop on will take one look at the ridiculous positions you take in the argument and understand how you got yourself into the mess you are in.

But you carry on on your high horse, and I'll carry on laughing at you.
wow. you are one angry young man.
maybe you should take a good look at this thread and put some of the relaxation methods mentioned to good use. that hash doesn't seem to be working for you.

yes, quite alot of naked, unwarranted hostility there...anger and management come to mind, though in fairness it does seem to be the prime motive force for the lives of lots of folks I know....Therefore is doing other folks down a legitimate strategy for negotiating the awfulness of existence??

    I suggest Punitive Surgery.

Now looky-here cue, this just aint very helpful at-all-at-all, I realised a couple of years ago that, to quote the horrible cliche "everything I know is wrong", now I dont mean that I was labouring under the illusion that the proper Paris is in Texas or something, but that the major normative yardsticks by which I'd been living my life were all a nonsense, pure fiddle faddle, and the older I get the more I realise that *cue menacing music*, things are NOT as they appear....

I KNOW i'm completely, utterly egregiously wrong about absolutlely everything, but where in the name of sweet baby Jesus does that leave me? Nowhere, thats where.... still floundering around in an increasingly thick gloopy existential soup I'd hazard.....If I may quote the great film philosopher Han Solo "I've got a bad feeling about this"....

    where can people go surfing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,772 ✭✭✭toomevara

    Yep.
If you were this guy, you'd be happy.

Now you see spastafarian, maybe I would, but you know what rots my poo about the surfing fraternity? Its the whole, "wow man, its a zen experience, blew my mind, Big Lebowski dream sequence-ness" nonsense that accompanies it.

I just cant get with that at all, and then theres the movie Point Break, I mean you cannot deny that surfing was responsible for that, and as a result I can never forgive surfing...now spastafarian I know you're not one of them pedantic paeons of whom I speak, but i should also tell you that I'm a fanatical swimmer and surfers routinely try to perform the intricate 'stave toomevara's skull in with board' manoeuvre in my fave-rave swimming spots....

Angry? Perhaps those benzodiazepines are playing havoc with your perceptions. I can assure you the only emotion I encounter when I read your posts is amusment. :)

Apologies if I came off as angry, perhaps your ignorance made me irritable.

I dont smoke hash, and if I did I wouldnt be smoking it on a Thursday morning, because I am not a drug addict. Plenty of people can use drugs recreationally just fine. Pop down to your local pub on a Friday night and see ;):D

Apologies, way OT for the thread.

Julep, I suggest in future if you are going to engage in debate, you make at least some effort to inform yourself on the topic in hand. Cannabis comes in many forms, of which hash is just one.

Start a new thread if you'd like to continue your schooling.

it may come in many forms, but i was using "hash" as a general term. i didn't really see the need to start listing all the different types of cannabis and hash only has four letters, so it's easier to type that.

i'm well informed on hte various forms of hash (again, general term) and i smoked it for many years, so i do actually know something about it.

So things might actually be as they appear? Sometimes the problem is my own perception of things

People moaning about living. FFS. Try living in the likes of The Congo, or Israel && the middle east. Poor you, you have to get up and go to work. Shock! Horror! At least you don't have to worry if the person driving the car coming towards you is a suicide bomber. Get over yourself.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,497 ✭✭✭omahaid

Yeah, fair point, no suicde bomber coming towards me. I suppose that makes my life easy then, yeah?

Oh wow!!!!..amazing, how could I have been so blind? You've put it all in the frame for me,'cos you see,all this was meant to be a serious meditation on the essence of life...so basically all I need is a suicide bomber hooning down the road at me to put it all in perspective, or is it the threat of a suicide bomber?...dang....I dont know and hey it's all relative...now where's that one way ticket to Baghdad;)
