Yeah, if I may junst add to the point made earlier about Henderson - he's dead. Gone. Finito.

Taken from the Fox.com recap of 24:

"He pulls the trigger and the gun clicks. Henderson realizes he’s been had, and he removes the empty clip from his gun. Jack accuses him of killing his friends Palmer, Tony and Michelle. Then he shoots Henderson dead."

I don't know why there's so much debate over that.

Great season, even if perhaps a little bit of a halfpipe.

First 4 episodes were amazing, climaxing with the rescue of the hostages from the Airport. Enthrawling television that had me shaking at certain points.

Then it started to slip up a bit with the nerve-gas threat. Yeah Bierko was pretty cool but I just didn't see a few cans of gas as being quite up to the standard of potential devastation as other weapons in previous seasons. I was used to nuclear bombs, deadly viruses, power plant meltdowns and.... more nuclear bombs!! And to be honest, would you really give a f00k if some mall got nailed and a few hundred fat old people die? Not really. Sounds more like a job for Lois and Clark.

Then CTU was attacked and the whole Logan twist began to emerge. This was a very nice addition and at this point it was uphill all the way for the season. You finally got the feeling that you were watching 24. Genuine insurmountable authoritative corruptness, combined with limited resources and peers that think Jack is a loose cannon (or at least, as usual, for while). Perfectly set-up.

The plane hi-jacking was great, as was the whole "who is this bald man who is clearly too evil to hold his phone to his ear?" Bierko also gave us a proper 24 threat in taking over a submarine with war-heads and Jack getting taken away by the chinese at the end leaves the door open perfectly for a follow-up season over the next few days. It could also be possible that this is where we will see the film focus, given that I hear it is supposed to be more of a summary of events over 24 hours, packed into 2 hours, allowing for plane travel and such other activities for the main characters that would be too time consuming in a regular season.

Also, Pierce and the First Lady, I thought, were brilliant in this season and will hopefully make a triumphant return in some form of motel or other place copulation ;)

I hope Wayne Palmer will make a return also. Just when I got to the point where I trusted him to having no part in the day's evil deeds, he pretty much vanished. Or could the reason for his disappearence be just that? He is actually a force behind all of this, and perhaps consipring with Joe Bald and his army of Bluetooth lovers? We'll see.

I don't know if anyone was in the same boat as me, but this was the first season I had to watch on TV. Yeah, I was spoiled. Had seasons 1 - 4 on DVD. They were a gripping two weeks I can tell you!

So I don't think I can fairly compare this season with the other 4 as the experiences were so completely different. Though it must be said that I will not be waiting for season 6 to come out on DVD, but more than likely will opt to watch it on TV. Won't be able to stand it going on in the background and me having to wait!!

well, my days of being spoilt are well and truly over, started off the year with Season 1 right through on dvd and last night watched the last 2 episodes of 5. With them all fresh in my memory I have to say 5 was the best.
I taped the season 6 prequel so watched that straight afterwards.
Fantastic show, just gonna be a gutter to have to sit through ads and wait a week between epsodes, watching 3/4 epsiodes a nite was better than any movie, only consolation is that Season 6 will be in HD very soon after the US airing......now onto my backlog of Alias season 4/5, Prison Break Series 2 todate
