Ah crap I seem to be one of the accursed few who has red hair and light eybrows. Looks really f$%king weird especially considering I have a red goatee.

It juts looks odd - thats partially the reason why I have blonde highlights so at least my facial hair partially matches my head hair.

It also seems I am destined to have ginger haired offspring aswell cause while the wife and her brothers and sisters are dark haired (mothers French heritage) her fathers side of the family are all proper Irish men with red hair and pasty white skin

Not sure about you being destined man, afaik, gingerness is a genetic mutation, and doesnt mean it will be passed down every time.

My parents had three children, one blonde, one brown, and the last one my da was a bit rusty

My parents have blonde and black hair btw.

People find it weird that I use the word ginger, as a lot of ginger-haired types label themselves "red" or "strawberry". Liars.

My flatmate asked me would I not just "call it red, so you dont have to say ginger". Poor dear didnt understand. It's only hair

Its a recessive gene that must be present on both side of the family to produce a red headed child. All my family are red in varying degrees and while the wife and her siblings are dark haired there is red hair in her genes from her fathers side. Unless we get really lucky we are going to end up with red headed kids - and red headed twins at that cause they run in her family

I'm a red head!

I like my hair colour as it's unique and the rarest in the world. Unfortunately us red heads get such slagging and discrimination when we're kids, it's so unfair!

P.S. Ginger hair never came from the Celts, that's a total misconception. The Celts were believed to be dark people with sallow skin and dark hair. It was actually the Vikings who brought red hair (a blond hair for that matter) to Ireland. Red Hair originated in Scandanavia and Eastern Russia.
