I've just run a Defragmentation of my hard drive using Diskeeper.
After running it some files in folders are listed in blue text while the rest are shown in the normal black. I have never seen this happen before so I assume it has something to do with the degragmentation. All the blue coloured files are still working ok. Anyone else come across this? Or know what if any significance?

They're compressed? Right-click on the file - Properties - Advanced - does it have a tick box next to 'Compress contents to save disk space'?

Blue filename means that it is compressed. Sure you didn't run Disk Cleanup recently? You can get rid of it (in XP anyway) by right clicking on affected files, going to properties, then clicking advanced and unchecking 'Compress file to save disk space'.

If you want to just display the files without colour and you want to keep the files compressed, just open Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - View - Untick 'Show encrypted or compressed NTFS files in colour'
