Then you can try another 'Boxserial' Remember! You have only five tries to enter the right code. After that you will need a cable to unlock your phone. So please, be aware

can only be done with specialist equipment. there's no free solution as far as i know so you might as well go into a shop and get it done for 10 to 20 euro

possible reasons it didn't work:
you have a 6230 and not a 6230i
you had the wrong imei
you entered the code wrong before

if you used nokiafree.org that might explain it because it needs a bit more configuration that trycktill

make sure you have the right information before entering the code below.

Its definitely a 6230i. I used http://www.nokiafx.net/unlock.htm which was probably not the right site to use for this phone.

trycktill will do that phone. you just have to select a phone with the same settings. try a 3120. i'm not 100% sure about that so if it doesn't work first time get someone on here to find a suitable phone. your imei is missing 2 digits by the way

Anybody any ideas how I might unlock the pin code on a Nokia 6680? I bought it from a friend who found it thinking I could unlock it easily!! It is a Vodafone phone, I can buy a Vodafone sim card, if I could just unlock the pin!!

The pin is related to the sim that's in the phone.
If you're going to buy a new sim you don't need the pin of the one in the phone now.

american i assume? what's the 7 digit number? usually the networks are represented by a 5 digit number, eg voda is 27201 and o2 meteor is 27203. you might have guessed ireland's code is 272.
