is this a scam to get imei numbers? Just a thought. I presume those with skill could use your valid code on a foreign network that has security measure to prevent stolen phones being used.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 65 ✭✭menka

    I forgot:
    - LG 1200,1300,w510/w520,7010/7020. Just send me a PM with your imei.

-The way to unlock new samsung phones is:

1.- Turn on your phone without sim card.
    2.- Type *2767*688#
3.- Now the phone turns off and wait till it turn on.
    4.- Thissolution is tested by me in samsung S500, E700, X100, X600, X430, X410.
And probably it works in all new phones.

    Regards from spain.

Well, let me tell you that in spain unlocking is in law.You can be a freelance that offer a service to different shops. Here in spain in a street there a lot of shops offering unlocking service. And in sunday markets you can see people unlocking with notebooks.
It is not legal to change IMEI in phones and of course if my thought is to use that imei there are a lot of different FORUMS with people sending their IMEIS for getting unlocking codes. I dont need to ask for them. But that's not legal.
I am going to Dublin in September and i have visiting the site for a time. I i havent seen a thread offering this to people. I just want to share this chance.
Please i hope a moderator can give me a opinion of this. If they think it is not a good idea i will respect and of course end the thread.

Doesn't anyone know how to use google anymore (or even the search functionality in boards.ie)?

    Here you go:

    http://www.nokiafx.net/unlock.htm
    http://www.trycktill.com/
    http://uniquesw.com/dl?9

Remember one thing, when you're unlocking the phone, you have five tries. I'd say that if you fail three, don't try anymore. If you fail all five, it will be VERY difficult to get the phone unlocked...

    Enjoy :)

    Hi

Does anyone know how to Unlock the Siemens C60, I searched but can not find it.

    Thanks

    @Muffen
At the moment there is no free DCT3 calculator. Isn't it?
let the people know that DCT4 calculator can not unlock 2100,3210,3310,3330,5210,6210,8210...

At the moment there is no free DCT3 calculator. Isn't it?

Posting the links to the pages so people can unlock their phone if it is a DCT4 phone is something I consider nice. Furthermore, it also helps you as you don't have to sit and generate codes for people who can do it themselves.

If you have a way of calculating codes for DCT3 phones, I think it would be a lot nicer if you told us how it's done instead of having people send you IMEI numbers (it can be dangerous, as you can reprogram the IMEI numbers if you want). Unless you are using something like this, http://www.gsmunlocking.thezone.dk/gr_siemens.htm, ofcourse.
I've seen multibrand dongles go for less than 100USD, and they are capable of unlocking most brands. The funny thing is that it's only software in the end, they just make the dongles cause they know that software can be easily pirated.

You seem nice, but I think my IMEI number deserves the same protection that my creditcard number does, and I would not give you any of the two.

    EDIT BELOW:

Just saw there there IS an app to calculate the codes for DCT3 phones... took me 10 min of searching to find it...

    http://www.griffinteam.net/

It's not free, but it's dongle free software, which kinda means it is free in the end, you just have to find it :)

    EDIT 2:

Now I am 100% sure you can get a calculator that does DCT3 phones.... here's another link where you can get it for GBP40 (but again, its software, if you know where to get it you can get it free) http://www.ringtonesaffiliates.com/dialatonez/product_info.php?cPath=1_21&products_id=28&osCsid=963b55dbb94349228235151f1963c43a

    >Posting the links to the pages so people can unlock their phone if it is a DCT4 >phone is something I consider nice. Furthermore, it also helps you as you don't >have to sit and generate codes for people who can do it themselves.

I agree. If you see the first thread i told about this.
There are a few threads about DCT4 calculators. ANd i think people knows in this forum about it. You have said nothing new.

    >If you have a way of calculating codes for DCT3 phones, I think it would be a lot >nicer if you told us how it's done instead of having people send you IMEI numbers
    >(it can be dangerous, as you can reprogram the IMEI numbers if you want).

The Calculator that i have is not for free. So there is not free soft to generate DCT3 unlock codes. I don't think the gsm bussiness is in this codes and it is not my interest making bussiness this way. Cause i am not a bussiness man.I just want to share what before some people Shared with me.
I understand your thought of reprogram, but i don't agree. It is very easy to think your way in a second. But if you sit and think twice, people who is able to reprogram phone would have a Big database of imeis that have been repaired or unlocked by them.
And if i have the chance of reprogram the imei why not program with random numbers? Why take from others?

As i see you know about gsm links.
Take a look at this one:
    http://www.grupomovilsoft.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4
It is a thread in a local spanish forum, it has over 500 requests of codes...that means 500 imeis. And it is written as reply...no private...You can see the 500 imeis.
I know a lot of forums like this. So It is easy to find imeis in google. Why to request them?

    >Unless
    >you are using something like this, >http://www.gsmunlocking.thezone.dk/gr_siemens.htm, ofcourse.
I don't use that clip but i use similiar one. From griffinteam. You are right.

    >I've seen multibrand dongles go for less than 100USD, and they are capable of >unlocking most brands. The funny thing is that it's only software in the end,
You are wrong. Some of them, and this is the case, are not dongles. The clip that calculate DCT3 codes is a box. The algorithm is in the box. So you have nothing to pirated. Do you want the soft i use? It runs in the PC and you can see all the options. But the box do the job. :)

Of course there is a lot of software pirated...but anyway you need a pirated dongle..and how to make a donlge is not easy for everybody. And it has a cost. ANd for one unit, may be people dont want to spend time or money.

    >You seem nice, but I think my IMEI number deserves the same protection that my >creditcard number does, and I would not give you any of the two.
Thanx mate :) for nice first word but :) I don't like the way you say you will not give me the credit card number. Who has asked about any number...any sell.
    :(
I am not a shop. I dont want anything, And you try to discredit me. i don't understand this little battle. This is just an option of anybody.

    >Just saw there there IS an app to calculate the codes for DCT3 phones... took me >10 min of searching to find it...
    >It's not free, but it's dongle free software, which kinda means it is free in the end, >you just have to find it

You are wrong. It is not soft. It is a box that calculates the codes. So The only way to make soft is knowing the algotihm that uses the box. WHen the algorithm is public you 'll have the free soft.

You have shown that you are a google machine man, and i imagine your car with a big google advertisement ;) You have put the links but you havent upload the unlocking software. Instead of make people believe there is a free solution, upload the link..or maybe GOOGLE don't give you your comission ;)

Anyway muffen, i dont want to spend a lot of time trying to convince you of the way i thought. I understand you but think different.

    Let the people choose.

Regards from spain Muffen, Have you ever been in spain? You should, once in your life at least.

In all fairness Muffen, he said in his original post that it was DCT3's
I had (have) a 6210 (which menka kindly unlocked) and I knew from previous searches that it was hard to find a free DCT3 generator, and added to that - you haven't provided any links to a free one, infact most of your links are for DCT4 generators which are all over the net, so give the guy a break.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 493 ✭✭muffen

I might have been a little harsh in my posts, and I'm sorry for that.
you haven't provided any links to a free one

The links I posted was only to show that DCT3 generators do exist. I cannot post links to free DCT3 generators, as that would be considered warez which is not allowed (but trust me, you can get them).
Anyway muffen, i dont want to spend a lot of time trying to convince you of the way i thought.

I apologize, as I said I think I was a little... well.. you know :)
You're doing something nice... and I might be a little overly paranoid, which is why I wouldn't give out my IMEI number. Most people probably don't care :)

I haven't been to Spain, but I hear it's nice. I'll probably go over there soon, since its one of the few countries in western europe I haven't been to :)

Cheers mate, hope you accept my apology.

    http://www.freeyourmobile.com/unlockers/nokia%20unlockers.htm

For all your nokia unlocking needs works a treat tried it myself and it worked with the first code it gave me.

Subsequently I found out that if requested the phone companies have to give you an unlocking code if you request it anyway so if you want to be safe do it the official way.

    I have a Nokia DCT2 (3110, 8110 ,... ) free calculator.
If anybody wants, i can send it by mail.

    @Nava
It is not easy unlocking a siemens C60. You must have some experience working with boards.
You need a testpoint. That is cutting the board and that's a little bit dangerous.
You need a cable, a microscope, and software.
Now there is free soft for doing the job. Of course you loose warranty and as i tell it's not easy.
I have some spanish links that can help you so if you are interested let me know to send you. I have the free soft and testpoing picture so i can send you.
    regards.

    just used unique phones excellent!!!
Q: It out put 7 code's, do i put these one after the other(just been cautious due to the 5 times limit!!)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭BigMoose

NO!!! Dont put them all in or you will totally arse it up. You only need one of the 7 - its mentioned somewhere else here which one. I think (but check first!!) that it's the 7th one the operators here use.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,441 ✭✭✭The_Goose

    heres what i got!

    #pw+127824053510123+1#
    #pw+088963117661260+2#
    #pw+748330475665334+3#
    #pw+904402132276004+4#
    #pw+886251511404252+5#
    #pw+307316137525412+6#
    #pw+228125555603423+7#
so would it be the last one then +7?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,445 ✭✭✭bovril

I only got one code returned and that worked... have no idea what to do with 7... maybe try the first one..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭BigMoose

Dont "just try the first one" - search on these forums for which unlock code the Irish operators use - it has been mentioned a few times. I dont have time at the mo to search, but will try and dig it out later if you've not found out.

The handsets have something like 6 separate codes of which the operators choose which one to use. The 7th is something like a master - I am attempting to remember all this without looking up the exact answer! If you gave someone your network operator and the IMEI then they will be able to give you a single code. If you are using one of the programs it will give you all 7 and you have to suss out which to use based on which one your operators uses... If any of that makes sense! I _think_ someone posted that the Irish operators use the 7th one anyway... But as I say, do a search and you'll find it.

    Problem

Ever since unlocking my phone (3410 meteor) any new number entered into my phone book enters but if that number calls or sends a message it just come s up as the number!!!!!

    Any suggestions!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,714 ✭✭✭Ryaner

Try setting the phone book to read from both phone and sim memory first. If that doesnt work set it just to be on the phone memory and check that the entrys are in the phone memory.
If they dont work your prob gonna have to factory reset the phone :(

Code 7 is the one that you use... If it doesn't work, make sure you have the IMEI number and the correct operator number selected, if they were correct then try code 1, if this still doesn't work then you're definately doing something wrong and don't put anymore in..... if you put them in wrong 5 times you'll have to fix it using a data cable

I unlocked a meteor 3310 ten with Unique phones.
Now it wants the 'security code', what code is this?
Is it sim code, or a phone code?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,186 ✭✭✭✭Sangre

Note the pin/puk 1 or 2 of my sim card didnt work :/
    Neither did 12345

Works fine with old meteor sim card

    @ Stuff
You need a datacable for unlocking a Gd52. There is no calculator.

Works fine with old meteor sim card

Sounds to me like the unlock didn't work. If it works with a meteor SIM (which is what it was previously locked to) and not with another network card... AFAIK when it asks for the security code, this is what it does when it is locked to a network and you put a foreign SIM in.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 65 ✭✭menka

    @sangre
    @Bigmoose
The security code is the user code. A code that locks the phone to a card. It is set by the user so there is no calculator for it. It is a protection code and no depends on the network code.
Maybe the phone is unlocked to the network but you can use it just with the card that you had inside the phone when you activate that code.
Some people activates it and don't notice. The default code is 12345.
But you have to know that if you have tried more than five times to enter random codes you are not able to unlocked it. The only solution is by cable resetting the software. There is a lot of free software for that use.
If you dont set that lock off you just can use it with your original card.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭BigMoose

I had a motorola which only ever asked for the security code when I put a foreign SIM in - but that was several years ago! I never activated any code in that case... I've never seen a nokia ask for one, but again I've never tried to set one either :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 65 ✭✭menka

I think a phone dont know when a card is foreign or not.
If it is locked to an operator and you put another sim(foreign or not) it asks the code.
And if it is not locked the phone dont ask for. just it.
    :)
Yesterday in a shop a girl bring us a phone - Nokia 3310 - with the security code on. She was trying to use another card -same operator that her phone was locked to - but the phone asked for the security code.
She did swear that she had never set it on and when we read it, she noticed that that number was an old pin number she had have.
i mean that there is a lot of people that doesnot know about that code and when they use the phone settings, the activate it with no intention.
    :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 902 ✭✭✭thesteve

the security code you're talking about can be set to be requested when a different sim is out in the phone, even if it is on the same network.

I have this feature enabled on my phone, so if it is nicked, it'll be hard for it to be used... when the battery on my missus's phone, died, i put her sim in my phone (both on 02) and it prompted for the code.

What's happening for Sangre is the same only the security code was changed from the default.....

The software will have to be reloaded or you will have to connect it to a data cable and use software to read the security code

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭BigMoose

This is not the same "feature" the moto security code provided as that would allow you to put any SIM from the same operator without asking for it. Only a SIM from a different operator would get it to ask for the security code.... Maybe moto's are just weird :D
