Full version of WWS is available for download (unofficial of course, but it's there). Check out the message pit or PM me.
I've got it playing on repeat right now. It's a good rockin punky tune. Very Ramones-ish

    Its ****ing savage IMO.
Sounds so much better than the teaser. Even listening to it ripped from an internet station, it still sounds great.
May 2nd can't come quick enough!!

Just a little bump for this thread, seeing that there will probably be tour information this Tuesday.

Press releases have been handed out to radio stations saying that tour details will be release at 11 A.M in the west US as far as I know!!!

    Roll on Dublin (hopefully!!!)

I agree, as long as it's not September. I'm not having 6 years of waiting tand then being shot down again because it clashes with my holiday.

Even though it's in the PJ news at the rock/metal forum I might aswell bring it here too, World Wide Suicide is up for official download (Free) at bootlegs.pearljam.com.
Also, as well as being able to download all shows from the recent North and South American tours you can now download the first show that the have released from the vault, Las Vegas 30/11/93, ****ING SAVAGE!!

You have to register but it literally takes 17.3 seconds!!!

And here's still praying for this news which should be here by the end of today, and hoping that it concerns a full scale tour with Euro dates which include Ireland!!!

Some unconfirmed first leg U.S dates:
May 9th Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON.
May 10th Air Canada Centre, Toronto ON.
May 12th Pepsi Arena, Albany NY
May 13th New England Dodge Ctr., Hartford CT
May 15th United Center, Chicago IL
May 19th Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids MI
May 20th Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland OH
May 22nd Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit MI
May 24th TO Banknorth Garden, Boston MA
May 27th Tweeter Center at the Waterfront, Philadelphia PA
May 30th Verizon Center, Washington DC
June 1st Continental Airlines Arena, East Rutherford NJ
June 3rd Continental Airlines Arena, East Rutherford NJ

These seem to be very believable dates and a short first U.S leg might mean there will be a fullscale worldwide tour, who knows.
I will post when the news has broken tonight!

Arrived home just there after a day without internet to find that tour dates had been anounced, but only the exact dates that I have posted above!!!!

It does say however on the official site that this is the first leg of a WORLDWIDE tour so now its just a matter of time (more bloody waiting!) before the rest is announced (which hopefully include a date in Dublin, followed by 12 nights back to back at McHale Park in Castlebar!!! O.K the last bit is just dreaming, not even Springsteen could manage that!!) but im very optimistic about at least one date in Ireland!

Pretty annoying that only the American dates have been announced so far. I was waiting all day for official word and then nothing. Hope we wont be waiting too long for the rest now.

Oh god please let them play Dublin, the new single is bloody brilliant. Great lyrics too:
    WORLDWIDE SUICIDE
    (lyrics and music: Vedder)

I felt the earth on Monday. It moved beneath my feet.
In the form of a morning paper. Laid out for me to see.

Saw his face in a corner picture. I recognized the name.
Could not stop staring at the. Face I'd never see again.

It's a shame to awake in a world of pain
What does it mean when a war has taken over

It's the same everyday in a hell manmade
What can be saved, and who will be left to hold her?

    The whole world...World over.
    It's a worldwide suicide.

Medals on a wooden mantle. Next to a handsome face.
That the president took for granted.
    Writing checks that others pay.

And in all the madness. Thought becomes numb and naive.
So much to talk about. Nothing for to say.

It's the same everyday and the wave won't break
Tell you to pray, while the devils on their shoulder

Laying claim to the take that our soldiers save
Does not equate, and the truth's already out there

    The whole world,... World over.
    It's a worldwide suicide.

    The whole world,... World over.
    It's a worldwide suicide.

Looking in the eyes of the fallen
You got to know there's another, another, another, another
    Another way

It's a shame to awake in a world of pain
What does it mean when a war has taken over

It's the same everyday and the wave won't break
Tell you to pray, while the devils on their shoulder

    The whole world,... World over.
    It's a worldwide suicide.

    The whole world,... World over.
    It's a worldwide suicide.

Have to say i'm quite impressed with WWS. Much more upbeat and less gloomy than the shìte off Riot Act. Lets just hope the rest of the new album follows suit!

    Another small tit-bit:
The band have recorded 5 songs for AOL Music, i think it will be broadcast sometime in late April. The songs to be played are: 'World Wide Suicide', 'Comatose', 'Gone', 'Life Wasted' and 'Come Back'.
No other worthy news at the minute!

Look who's #79 (i'm the first Irishman, horrah!!), I signed that months ago and left a note about it here, hadn't looked at it in a while, last time I looked there was around 1500 sigs, now its nearly 4000, that's going very well!

I think with or without a petition they will be here soon anyhow!
    But its still worth signing!

Exactly, and PJ fans are probably the best at doing stuff like this.

Also, PJ are now lined up to play Saturday Night Live in the U.S on April 15th.
It'll be their first appearance on the show since 1994!

A little birdy has told me that there could be a further tour announcement by the end of this week or next week, possibly the next leg of the tour (which will prob be more U.S dates :( )

    Time will tell!!!

They better ****ing not, i don't want my day ruined by green day, plus it will cut on their set.
I personally can't see this happening, but who knows, we'll find out soon!

The Slane and Oxegen rumours have been circulating since last year.Pretty sure they're complete bull****. I doubt they'd play a festival again.
I'd much rather see them do their own gig anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,536 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

i should hope they dont play slane with green gay, i suppose it would be better than them not coming at all but i cant stand green gay these days

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,146 ✭✭✭muckwarrior

If PJ and green day played slane then green day would undoubtedly headline as they're a lot more popular, and I can't see (at least I sincerely hope not) Pearl Jam lowering themselves to support a bunch of prepubescent make up wearing thirty something year olds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Funsterdelux

How about we put our resources together, and we put on our own concert for PJ.
    What would we call it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 464 ✭✭redmosquito

'Pearl Jam in my back garden', how does that sound????
WWS is up on iTunes now, 'Unemployable' is the b side. Pity I couldn't be arsed to get iTunes so ill probably just have to wait for the album to hear the latter. (Well probably only a few days till someone has it posted on one of the sites!!!)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 464 ✭✭redmosquito

Hands up if you wanna hear 'Unemployable'.
If anyone wants it pm me and I can link ya to it, its good!

The more and more i listen to 'Unemployable', the more the song is really growing on me, its very pop sounding though.
Maybe thats not a bad thing but I would hate for a greenday to happen to them, mind you these songs are far better than any greenday!!

WWS has also set some kind of PJ record on the Billboard charts in the states aswell, go to www.pearljam.com to find out.
