Hotpress have confirmed that Bob Dylan is to play the Marquee.

    Anyone have more information?

yeah he's confirmed but the promoter doesn't have the exact date yet, will be announced as soon as they do. The Marquee runs in the last week of June and the first week of July, by crossing off the days already booked you could probably narrow it down a bit more.

Was pondering on how expensive tickets are to this when I was offered a free one, free accom and a lift to Cork. Yippeee!

You jammy git kc66! I just spent 150.00 (that I don't have) for two tickets for my fellas birthday thats not even till April and then what the hell are we gonna do/stay in Cork?! I sorta got hyper when I heard about it and rang ticket master straight away with my creditcard...i didn't really think it through very well..ooops!

It will be worth it though. Price of any tickets in this country is gone mad in the last few months especially. It will probably soon be €100 for any concert.

Feckin sure it'll be worth it. Mind you, wouldn't it be great if Gilmore joined him, god that'd make it so worth it. Could you imagine it? Roger giving it socks on a solo and out strolls Gilmore from the wings, it'd be mass hysteria, I'd probably pee myself with excitement or puke I sometimes vomit if im too excited! Can't wait I heard he's doin a new version or his version of Dark side of the moon. I only did the wizard of Oz thing with that album a few months ago...so mad! You seen it?

I sometimes vomit if im too excited!
That's probably too much information, really :)

Not a "new" version of Dark Side, just playing it in its entireity.

Are there many hotels near the grounds? I must actually sort something out now before the hotels start hiking the summer prices up

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

afaik, most hotels in the city centre are only 15-30 minutes walk away, so it shouldn't make a difference really.

In fact, i booked a hotel the other night, and i can't remember the name of it now.. oops, i hope i got a booking mail or something!

was just looking on efestivals.co.uk and he's doing a new fest in Hyde Park, and playing the whole of Dark Side Of The Moon.........apparently that's the only place he's playing it this year - but that would be awesome.....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭LundiMardi

it was on the radio that he was playing it here too, it's unlikely they'd go to that trouble just for one show.. i reckon it'll be at every show.. i just hope that's not ALL he's playing, cos that's only like 30minutes.

Bob Dylan's Marquee gig is now confirmed by Aiken for the 25th June. Looks like they're on sale this Friday from €60 a pop.

Shame it's not back to back with Roger Waters. Still may head down though.

    it'd certainly be cool.....
check out the efestivals site for the Hyde Park thing, pretty sure it said that it would be a part of the show - and lots of lights etc.........expensive - but wait till the Stones is confirmed, they are lookin for €60-150 in the UK.....
The best deal I've seen in a while is the Zappa Plays Zappa gig, €60 sounds steep, but they are £60 in England for the same show - unless it's bigger...

Does anyone know if tickets for this are still available? Ticketmaster isn't very helpful (what a surprise).

Wow, i mean i'm not usually this blown away by a performance but that was once incredible concert. My highlight had to be Shine on you Crazy Diamond. Unbelievable. I'm so happy after that.
