Well done on reading a book, have you ever thought that if you posted less of this hate-mongering garbage you might get less crap from guys? On boards at least

Couldn't have put it better AB. Nothing worse than someone venting their insecurity in an effort to create a gender conflict where non exists.

And basing your relationship ethos on a "comedy" about four self obsessed insular women written by three gay men. I mean, how true to life is that going to be? What's next, tips on a successful relationship from "Bridget Jones' Diary" ?

Thank you!!! Buy the man a pint. They act more like gay men than women do tbh.

You know whats so ****ing annoying -all these 20 year olds walking around with their palm pilots and their in your face bling drinking cosmos and calling themselves women, when all they have is the substance of a paper doll. Thank you Sluts and the City.

Did i fcuking say i based my relationship ethos on sex and the city?
Jesus you missed the whole point did you even read the OP
i was discussing the merit of the title of the book and whether it was realistic or whether it would even make a diffrence if said to people who makes excuses for their partners or object of affection.

Actually you never mentioned the title, or at least never made it clear what it was, you just started ranting about...I'm not really sure what is was about, but then you threw in what ****es men were for good measure.
You're consistent in that much at least.

Hm. The first part of that sentence was neither cool nor smiley. If I might remind you, you quoted from the show apparently, and then proceeded to ask the exact same question, only in coolsmileyspeak (to be fair, easier to read than the Carrie Bradshaw crapspeak above it :) )

I never miss the point, even when the point is so far away it's like a dot in the distance. You never put the book title up for discussion, merely took it as a given that women should just give up on their significant others if those same significant others do not correspond to some idealised claptrap generic as laid down by some frustrated feminist that is about as likely to enter into a relationship with a guy as Ellen DeGeneres.

I don't know what you expect out of a relationship, but you won't find the answer in the bottom of a bargain bin in Easons.

Here's another pearl of wisdom for ya, coldfrowninglady, relationships are not perfect, they take work, as indeed does anything else worth having. Bear that in mind.

Whoahh there cowboy. Anyone who advocates for the equal rights and dignity of women is a feminist, from Christina Aguilera to Sandra Day O'Connor to Mary Robinson. Dont paint them with the Ellen Degenerous brush. You dont have to eat soup to fight for your rights you know. :v: :v:

The book she is talking about is called HES JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU. It was written by a man, who worked for Sex and the City, probably one of the few straight men on staff. [In fact the wardrobe designer Patricia Fields was famous for her store which specialised in drag queen clothing.]

    Here's a link from oprah about it.
    http://www.oprah.com/tows/booksseen/200409/tows_book_20040922_behrendttruccillo.jhtml

Maybe, just maybe when women stop using sex to find love, and men stop using women to find sex, then maybe we can get somewhere.

How many days was that now before there was a boy vs girl fight in the playground?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,735 ✭✭✭ST*

I read the link. and my jesus I've never seen so much sh1te in all my life.
Its ridiculous spin-off bullcr@p like that, that puts stupid ideas in the minds of women today.

Honestly ladies, see the books for what they really are. money traps. like Roundy said, give it a short while and you will find them stacked in the bargain section of Easons before long. and why? not because they are true guides for life, but sh1te I wouldnt use to hold up the short leg of a table.

I think in the true style of sex and the city , we should all get some cosmopolitans and talk this to death .

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,375 ✭✭✭metrovelvet

If he wasnt into ya why would he be with you?

Or are we talking about seeing a random guy and wondering is he into me>? In that case just go speak to him , men aint another species they do speak like  If he`s like fup yea then hes into ya , if hes like yo lady your about as welcome as a turd in a swimming pool , then he aint into ya , its not exactly rocket science.

Jesus if people left the house instead a reading these horse manure books , they might get a bloke.
