I was quite underwhelmed by this. Unfortunetly I gave the new album a proper listen just before the gig to find out how bad it is. Oh dear.

I enjoyed them immensely at Oxegen two years ago but this was quite dull in comparison. Do they not get really really bored churning out the same music every gig? It was the same as the CD.

They also had the pits in force, hate the things. Can never get near enough and could barely see the band. It's tolerable when they have screens at the sides but without them they just seem... so... far...

Conflicting ideas of enjoyment...you guys pretty much made every part of the pit uncomfortable to be in as a result of the chain reaction from bashing into each other and everyone around you. Keep it for Metallica or something, please.

    Great gig though.

Actually the hightened sense of awareness and levels of adrenilin caused by moshing are obviously, without doubt, gonna cause more enjoyment while at a gig, thats why people do it, infact, years ago at punk gigs people used to wear razor wire around their combat boots to cause more pain thus more adrenilin and therefor more enjoyment. So its not my fault if you're too afraid or stuck up to enjoy yourself.

And another thing: BITCH PLEASE! I wouldn't listen to any Metallica beyond search and destroy unless you paid me, copiously.

Years ago at punk gigs people used to spit at the band too, but I doubt anyone would be in favour of bringing back that little tradition.

Save the moshing for when you're listening to your Offspring albums at home and let people who are there to enjoy the band do so without imposing your idea of enjoyment on them.

    How old are you? 12?

oh dear... Why dont you just go to an S&M club? Are you going to oxegen? I am sure we can arrange somebody to take a stanley blade to your face before the strokes come on, make it all the more enjoyable for you

Take it or leave it was my favourite

I was in the pit. It wasn't too bad at all (first time in a pit) and it relaxed after the first 5 or so songs.

I was enjoying myself! and I did again, once I got away from you.

Anyway good gig. I saw them in the Olympia for my first ever gig when i was 14, that was some experience. Its never as good the second time around.

Yeah I was happily surprised by how good The Strokes were considering the new album has struggled to grow on me.

Humanzi were fabulous as usual and Adam Green..... what a legend! He was great entertainment. His performance of What A Waster by The Libertines was fantastic!

Great night. Well worth the money!

I'm nineteen, I'm not a huge fan of The Offspring, there's still spitting at some gigs and most other people impose their ideas of enjoyment on me at gigs anyway, I may as well do the same back. You think I like being surrounded by people hopping up and down? Or couples kissing and holding each other etc while getting in everyone's way? There was actually a couple fscking, literally fscking, at that gig. There's more annoying things than moshing.
