and again with IRAN thing again let me spell it out for you

IRAN do not represent the muslims

I'm an idiot? Don't want to get childish here but at least i can spell. Ok, i misquoted you, i clearly just read it wrong. my evidence is what i can see on the news every day, but of course you discount that because it is all staged by "the media". I explained why iran is relevant.

Some Muslim groups based in the West at least recognise that their ME / SE Asian co-religionists' reactions to the cartoons are way over the top and harmful to the world view of Islam:

    A 'Canadian' muslim no less...

My girlfriend worked in a restaurant with a pizza chef. He was from egypt, we became good friends, we joined him in egypt for his arranged marriage (trip of a lifetime), met his family, ate at his table, shared bread with him yadda yadda

He was in work the day of 9/11. My girlfriend told me he celebrated when the planes struck. He celebrated.

Yes these people have children work hard, play tennis, but behind it all their religion defines them. Ask a true Muslim what he thought of 9/11. VERY few will tell you it was a catastrophe. Most will tell you it was a triumph.

He made great Pizza though (Or should that be pizza dough.)

Im dyslexic and didnt have time to spell check cos im angry at being misss quoted...its not a matter of being staged by the media its how much weight they give an issue.
I can form my own opinions, as you do, i dont need books...but you should try reading some instead of relying on TV....I don't disagree with your stand point all together just how you present it with misinformed generalizations.

I hate people putting words in my mouth..what i said is to be read as a post not sentences picked out to suit your argument

How many muslims do you know? How many have you asked that question to? How many responded that "it was a triumph" when YOU asked them? I REALLY REALLY want to know where you got this opinion from.

Well it might be a good idea to run that check on a sentence in which you are calling someone an idiot, makes you look pretty ridiculous when you don't. I have clearly read the books you have or i wouldn't be able to tell where you got your arguments from. You still haven't told me how my generalisations are misinformed, just cos you want to say that all muslims are like us and only 1 or 2 are mad, doesn't make it true. I picked out your points, not your sentences and you havent backed any of them up so you must not think much of them in the first place

and my point was that it a pretty large minority, far larger than the amount of neo-nazis and in some countries, ie iran, it is a majority. if they want to talk about it at dinner or whatever then fair enough. but when they start on that we should show respect for them by censoring our own newspapers etc, well then they can piss right off

What exactly is your point here? There are 1.6 million Muslims in the UK alone, I don't see any violent protests there. The majority of Muslims are peaceful law abiding citizens. A few in the Middle East are going crazy, you can't paint them all with the one brush.

I used to play football with a whole bunch of em every week!!! They all were a little eccentric regarding their religion. I found out a few years later they were all pals with Bin Liners second, third or fourth in command. Can't remember which.

I don't believe you when you say that you know loads.

Ok so you can use Iran Il use this one, The day after The london bombings 27 school children in Iraq where blown up by a suicide bomber who was targeting american soliders who where giving sweets to the kids outs side of the school, the soldiers survived the attack....how much coverage was this given? Granted the london bombings where huge and its ovbiously going to recieve more coverage..but these kids were slaughtered..there where pictures of there mothers picking up body parts it was gruesome...but know one seems to remember it that i talk to..its not a fair comparison i know

there are loads of stories...another example being the incident with the guy getting his head cut off...it was an obvious fake but the media jumped all over it because it deflected attention away from the american soliders who were abusing there prisoners at that time...... i could go on..but im bad at typing and this is pi$$ing me off

The phrase "Muslim extremist" should never be used. The act of been extreme (in the manner so frequently seen) contradicts the teachings of Islam. Therefore it renders those who are labeled as being extreme, non-Muslims, thus no link should be ever made. So many of you seem to have such an opinion of Islam yet none of you know what you are talking about. Understandably you may have an opinion(Which you are entitled to) on the acts of those who claim to represent the teachings of Islam, but they are a false representation of Islam.

    You're speaking out your ass,

I don't think they were eccentric, I think it's just that in Ireland people are SO lax about religion that any talk of it seems over the top.

Bin Liner? Do you think people are going to listen to you when you don't bother to be serious. I'm not even gonna start on your claim to know they were involved with Osama Bin Laden.

The news companies will report whatever is most relevant to their own audience, the fact that people in the west care more about london than iraq is just a fact of life, it is not a media conspiracy. The guy getting his head cut off, there is a huge difference between showing a faked story (did they know it was fake at the time?) and actually staging the stories yourself, which is what you originally claimed they were doing.

Rubbish, christianity teaches people to be nice etc but there were inquisitions and crusades in the name of christianity, they could be called christian extremists. If these people do it in the name of islam then they are muslim extremists

I never mentioned a conspiracy..Id like to see you me quote on that one.
What has actually happened over this cartoon? has anyone one actually been blown up in Denmark?
Aren't you a little suspicious that all this bad press about Iran is circulating at the moment considering whats going on in the UN over their nuclear programme?

I think its all been blown out of proportion..Its like after 911 when CNN showed pictures of Muslims "celebrating" on the streets..this was a farce..they just rounded up some loo laa's of the street and asked them to dance around burning American flags...The media need to create an "enemy" so they can keep us in fear and exploit us with sensationalism....if you talk to muslims the reality is there just normal people trying to get on with there life's raises kids etc just like any of us...same with any race or creed....

if a minority of extremists take to the streets so what? they still have neo Nazi rallies all over Europe....how much coverage does this receive??
    fu#k all...as i said they need to create an enemy..its all boll0x.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me

Maybe eccentric Isn't the correct word to describe them, but they were involved with Osama bin Laden. It was all over the news. A large group of them used to live together in a house in terenure/templeogue. Can't remember which. Their house was egged and generally abused because of the link.

not at all.. It's the exact same. You dont know what it means to be a muslim, therefore how can you say someone is a muslim or not. You dont know what you are tlaking about!

no no, I can imagine exactly what it was like.

some typical ignorant Irish kid thought, oh look it's a DURKA, or Bin Laden. Lets egg their house. Whats the ****ing point in egging their house? It's complete ****e, why would they "operate" from Ireland, I mean you'd really want to pick a more corrupt country where you would go unnoticed.. you are speaking complete tripe.

They might not be particularly good muslims, but they are muslims. The pope once had an army, yet christianity is against violence, are you telling me that back then the pope was not a christian?

You are begging the point. We are talking about Islam not Christianity. Christianity was/is very heavily influenced by money, which is very different to Islam.

You say that they are still Muslims. For someone to be a Muslim they have to follow the teachings of Islam, for example, if they go and kill someone in a way that contradicts Islam, then they aren't following Islam. It's not that complex.

So you are basing this on the opinion of a group of Muslims you knew who you say were "involved with Bin Laden"???!! Yes sure, they really represent the opinion of ordinary everyday Muslims.

It's not lies, it's gospel! They really were linked and really did live in terenure/templeogue, and I really did know them. And you really did stray off the point! But I can't prove it.
