Where would we be now if Hitler didnt lose the war?

Ok guys I know this is a little odd but having just watched one of my favorite movies of all time Saving Private Ryan, but the question is what would have happened if the allies would have lost. Also has anyone here had any family who fought WWII with any stories to tell

how about something more interesting like, what would have happened if dinosaurs didnt die out....?
and does anyone have any family from when the dinosaurs died out?

No but my grandad was a peace keeper in the Congo... got bitten by a snake and lived because apparently there was so much alcohol in his system that it counteracted the poison :rolleyes: good old granda... He still has the bight marks on his wrist...

Ya my grandfather was a gunner in the RAF, and fathers uncle was a POW in Auschwitz.

Btw my grandmother who emigrated from Ireland to England worked in a weapons manufacturing plant during the war.

Would he have actually gone the all way to try and create a United States of Europe if you will. If so Ireland would have been really screwed.

If hitler had won the war and defeated britain!there would be absolutely no reason for him to invade ireland!it would have been of no economic benefit!at worst we would have a slightly fascist government to make sure he wouldnt attack ireland.

if you want other peoples opinions, you should really give them something to comment on.
asking someone to comment on ww2 is like giving someone a blank canvas.
why not give your own stories and your own theories.

If you want a serious discussion of the topic then bring it to the history board. IMO, Germany could never have defeated the Soviets, but if they'd managed to defeat the British they'd have dominated western Europe until the Soviets finally poured west, and we'd all be under Communist rule in a state of permanent conflict with the US.

My Grandfather died in a concentration camp, he fell out of a guard tower and broke his neck...

Ah seriously though, we would have been invaded and conquerd and all of europe would be simular to what Russia is now but US would not have been invaded and would probably be pretty simular to what it is now, but far less involved in world politics probably...europe would be a deselate, depressing, failing communist economy, US would be more rich & reletavly detached from the world..possibly Asia would be even more prosperos and maybe be more closely linked with US

(not to contradict myself) and africa would be exactly the same......imo tbh

But why speculate? The uprising begins here...

Well, my grandad [God bless his soul] brought back a monkey with him from a tour of The Congo with the British army, lived with the family a while but they had to give it up , true story

Oh to therecklessone, we could never have been communists by the way, as Hitler was an extreme faschist who hated communism and wouldn't tolerate it, that's partly why he was at war with Russia.

That's why I said simular to what Russia is like now...didn't they have a dictator around then?

and that's what they evolved too (democracy is still a very new thing to Russia...it's hardly had a chance to change what Russia has been since the cold war, therefore I am comparing to what communisim has left russia like today)
