Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Daithi: DIE!!! That was just cruel!! *sniff*:( :(

Jeeze Daithi, first you're openly intelligent on a forum full of smart people, and now you do exactly what you're told? You just don't know when to stop, do you?

    Heathen

It's said in jest and merry spirits. Isn't that a bit much?

I would like to issue an apology. I was not myself when I said these things, being caught up in a fiery, undirected rage resulting from listening to The Who too much. I know that is no excuse but perhaps if it weren't for all the angry lyrics I wouldn't have been so inclined to cruelty. Remember kids, don't be like me. Listen to The Carpenters instead. [/end sob story]

He did tell me to in fairness but sorry anyway to all you Nevermores who's week has been ruined by that post. You may all hit me next time you see me and also have an apologetic hug if you want one.

[EDIT] Except Pierce. It'd hurt way too much if he hit me. [/EDIT]

    That's Piercism!

    ... can I've a hug even though I'm not a nevermore? <=D

Anyways, deviating form the crime talk for uno momento, when did PFM became mod? Only noticed it after the *cough*untimely*cough* death of the parallel Crime thread... Congrats, oh Mod extrodinaire
Woot! Crime! Remember kids, be there, or be a square!;)

Steph's mod of the Junior Cert forum, as far as I know, and has been for a while now. A few weeks/a month/more?

Certainly! And the over-affectionate kiss on the head as is my custom.

Did you see the hilarious accident outside it beforehand?I'm still laughing now just thinking about it:

A bus full of secondary students was parked outside the theatre letting them off and a woman in a brand new BMW had parked just behind it.She came out of the theatre and got in the car.Just as we were going in we heard this massive crunch behind us.I turned around and saw the front of the lovely new BMW smashed into the back of the bus.The BMW looked as if it never had a bonnet, but the bus, the lady and the pupils were fine except for a few scrapes on the bus.Needless to say she got a standing ovation.Turns out she mixed up first gear and reverse.Just goes to prove that women and cars, no, machinery don't mix!

Come to think of it, I was at that as well. Don't remember CTYI people though, might've been a different day. Mainly I just remember my class complaining about France's acting and the realisation that SFX looks like SEX.
    Tee hee hee :D . Amn't I mature?

The Helix is a lovely venue.

Any 2005 Session 1 people going on Dec 3rd? I'd consider it but I'd hate to go and sit in a corner alone somewhere 'cause I don't know anyone. Oh, jebus, that sounds sad. But I stand by my question. So?

NOOO!!! Don't listen to him! The only violence The Who incited was the stampede at one of their concerts that killed 11 people... and the people clinging onto their helicopter at Woodstock... and Pete Townshend hitting that guy over the head with his guitar at Woodstock (and getting a rousing cheer)... and possibly some other things that I've forgotten... but they're still great!
And that edit was a good idea. But what can Pierce do if he can't hit you? Throw something at you?

You'll probably find a fair few people that you know there, I seriously doubt you'll be sitting in a corner alone unless that's what you did for the whole of CTYI!

  • Registered Users Posts: 238 ✭✭cookiemonst3r

Hey does anyone know if we're allowed bring non CTYI ppl too??

Eiseart told me he got a reply after 2 days. At the end of mine I asked if I'd be able to go back to CTYI next year (cos I really don't know). It's been almost 2 weeks and nothing. Anyone else not get a reply or am I being avoided. Then again the restraining order might be preventing me from contacting her. Hmmm.

Fishie (I think it was you that asked) - The letters came seperately I think.

I just emailed a second ago. Sort of late notice, but oh well, I'm turning up anyway.

It starts at 1pm and ends at 5pm, with a coffee break from 2.20 to 3pm.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,152 ✭✭✭carlowboy

Missed the talks........ how'd they go? Any good?

  • Registered Users Posts: 655 ✭✭✭smiley_knees

Talks were boring. Being on campus again with all the nerds was cool!

  • Registered Users Posts: 588 ✭✭✭JenLorigan

I quite liked some of the talks.

  • Registered Users Posts: 448 ✭✭Jack Lynch

The first guy was good because he was the first guy. The second guy was good because he was the famous guy. The third guy wasn't good because all his stories came from distant family members. The fourth guy was good because he had some great stories about students taking down the computer system. The lat guy was good because he had a load of props and that whole 'scientist from Flubber' thing going on.

How is it that CTYI can't rent the Hub for us for discos but can rent the Helix for afternoon tea?

    Dr. Sheila was there!
