I used to collect figurines of horses or unicorns; I was really into stuff like that. Now I just save my monthly bus passes (don't know why...) and movie ticket stubs. Just for fun... not like it's worth anything besides memories.. hahaha.

I am currently buying packs of Hecatomb cards every chance I get. I thought I'd gotten over the CCG phase and become a responsible, intelligent individual, but this game has proven me wrong. :(

I'm not sure if I should call it a collection, because it makes me sound quite mad, but I have many, many rubber ducks.

As a kid Pighead with the help of his mothers purse collected Roy of The Rovers and tree of Knowledge religiously. In the attic at home there are at least 300 issues of Roy of The Rovers gathering dust.

Pighead couldn't get enough of Hotshot Hamish. The lad was a legend, give him the ball and he'd not only score from 50 yards but hed also rip the back of the net wide open with the sheer ferocity of his shooting.
    Here he is. http://www.dangerhere.com/issues/issue28-261101/Hotshot_Hamish.jpg

The tree of knowledge helped shape Pighead into the brilliant lad you see before you today. A weekly encyclopedia that was almost collected in its entirety by my good self.Unfortunately missed one week as punishment after Mother Pig decided to punish me for pissing on her tulips.Stupid Sow

I collect books in general but I do have a decent collection of antique cookery books. I also seek out items from the year that I was born and also from the year that my parents were born - have a bottle of vintage port, several annuals etc. I also collect Steiff and Herman teddy bears/animals - my childhood favorite toy was an a Steiff squirrel which I ate the hands off...it would have been worth a fortune if I had kept it in good shape but I am still glad that I was allowed to have it as a playtoy

Do you have mogwai (sp?)? They are adorable - one of my best friends can do a great impression of one, he can even do the eyes. The Gremlins were really cool also.

I had most of them. I build a little island for them in a planter tray out of things I'd collected from the beach and they lived on my window sill.

Must see if I can get a file of my friends mogwai impression - it really is the cutest thing, though he will probably want to kill me for saying this :)

I did collect phone cards but I did not really get into it like my cousin did.
I do have a few rare beanie babies, they were presents, and I figured, I may as well collect a few good ones on the off chance that they may be worth something. Parhaps I will sell them on ebay.
I do collect Sky cards, I have the last three (out of five) Sky analogue cards and I have all three Sky Digital cards, I get the old ones from my cousins and stuff. My biggest collection/obsession at the moment is dragons. I buy them whenever I see them. I have statues, swords, pendents and a lot of digital pictures from the internet.

However Ive only once seen a backing board to stick em into for sale, was some punter standing in liffey valley selling them for I think €50, I asked him if he had one that didnt include the coins. He said they werent included in this one. At €50 for essentially a piece of cardboard I left him with it. I would have thought they would have been commonplace by now.

Dunno if you're ever in Cork but you can get backing boards to store the different Euro coins (in small and large sizes) in Smyths toy store in Maylor Street...I think they are about €10/€15....

Started off with the aul phone cards, no idea what happened to them (probably in the attic somewhere), then stamp collecting (was really into that for a few years until I got a life), I have a copy of every Lego magazine from 1992 to 2002... I got to collecting old books for a while, didn't get far, oldest I have is a copy of Shakespeare's Coriolanus printed in 1897.

Now that I think of it I'm a bit of an obsessive collector of things in general, can't stand to see a standalone element of a collection; for that reason alone I bought every Final Fantasy game available for the PSX, even though I've only played FF7 and doubt I will play any of the others.

Oh and I've a full "Pog" collection rattling around somewhere :)

Anime is great for the collecting urge; generally 13 or 26 episodes; rarely like a TV series where the producers will just make it until the ratings die.

Oh god I'm an obsessive compulsive :(
