We need to think outside the boundaries of the UK and Ireland.

Send a rock/metal band with an Irish twist. That's the only way we'll win this again.

But that's the whole point, the organisers don't want us to win it again, that's why thety keep sending such crap to represent us!

Why should we send some crappy rock band? - that isn't what we do. let's send a decent traditional singer, and at least be proud of listening to him...

Brian Kennedy's not that big. I'm sure a lot of other countries haven't heard of him before.

Just like we haven't a clue who most of the foreign singers are, but they're prob already massive in their own countries.

ABBA, Dion, Clif Richard, etc all have taken part, the rule is that the song cannot have been released before, and can't be released as a single until 2 weeks before the Eurovision contest.
