I got my name from Neuromancer by William Gibson.

Case's sidekick/other stuff partner Molly uses a fake or maybe her real name at one point when checking into a motel type place - Rose Kolodny.
I admit I liked the character as she has mirrored lenses instead of eyes and blades built into her fingernails - my kinda gal!

Later on, when the Turing cops are trying to track her down - they're interrogating Case as to her whereabouts and shouting "Where's Kolodny?" a lot so the name just stuck in my head.

    SyxPak.

My first gaming name was Maugan Ra - Eldar Dark Reaper Exarch from Warhammer 40,000. Used it in Lanfest for about 2months.
Switched to SyxPak sometime after that cos I couldn't put spaces in my CS/HL name (at the time). Had to choose something else.

Has some connotations of either a pack of alcohol fuelled madness or a rippling abdominal area.
In fact is is a reference to the Magnum pistol in HL, which I thought was cool.
    On Boards.ie I used to be [FCA]SyxPak.
I got the [FCA] dropped a month or two ago (thx John) after a chat in a pub.
Origionally haad it on cos after 4 mins browsing the CS boards looking for irish servers I saw people with strange symbols before/around their names.
Not wanting to look like a total n00b (;)) I added the only acronym I could think of, having joined the FCA a while before it.
Only a week after i'd registerd did I cop that they were 'Clans'.

Ah, the ignorance and innocence of youth....... :)

my name is notorious cat enthusiast, but boards only allows a limited number of characters in a name.
the notorious came from when we were talking about notorious B.I.G., and how dead and fat he was. so you could stay I ripped it off a dead man, but the cat enthuiast part is my own, coming from when the conversation moved on to cats

From the CD comic Sandman. So, perhaps after the letters, the pillars, the leather, the place, or the mode of behavior...

The meaning behind that statement is "I know where you got your name from"

NOT "I am shagging this poster"

    Thank you!!

    I am The_Bullman

My nickname in school was Bull. So when I tried to setup an e-mail account with hotmail, i realised that bull was taken. I tried bullman, the_bull and other interesting combinations. until i finally came up with

    the_bullman@hotmail.com

now nobody calls me Bull, it seems all a waste
