I don't smoke, but I had one or two just to see what they'd be like. Never saw the attraction really. I smoked a few joints back in the day too.

I wouldn't touch them with a pole now...

Yeah I used to work in a pub as a lounge girl when I was still at school and I would have to wash my hair at least 3 times to get the stink of smoke out of it.. I think back then people just accepted that it was ok until the ban came in, I think now even smokers would have to admit that its nicer to go home and not stink of other ppl's smoke, not to mention the odd burn hole you'd find in your clobber..

I never saw the point of trying if I didn't want to make a habit out of it.

There were other reasons also, among them the fact that I was so uncool it would have looked like a painfully obvious attempt at being cool, which would have only made me more uncool AND smelly.

Am I imagining it or is it becoming socially... not unacceptable, but frowned upon, to be a smoker nowadays? I've noticed that with my family for certain, but also with some of my friends...

You're dead right, I have friends who smoke and they'd often try to pass it to me to hold for a min for one reason or other and Id always say feck off, even holding a lit ciggy for a min leaves a stink on ur fingers.... Rotten

some people might find that a bit ott but its just the way I am, call me a fussy be-ach... I dont care :rolleyes:

I've been smoking hash/weed regularly for about 2 years, recently started having a few cigarettes in the evening :eek:

It just feels good.

Have never smoked, have never done drugs, have never drank coffee, V rarely drink tea. (God, I sound really healthy don't I)

Haven't been able to eat for 2 days as it seems the stupid amt of alcohol I drank at the weekend has made my mouth & throat raw!!
(Ah well, guess we can't be good at everything!)

the smoking ban is brill, seems like a lifetime ago that people would light up in the pub or wherever, i used to work as a waitress, hated cleaning ashtrays :mad: and of course not stinking like an ashtray when u get home is a bonus
