Liquid-nitrogen....when it heats it becomes a gas which is 1000 times more dense than the liquid...basically...Liquid-nitrogen=HUGE kaboom :D

There are some sick, sick people out there. One of my friends knows someone who microwaved his sister's kitten, put it in a blender and recorded the whole thing.

    Im seriously disturbed by that!!

I nearly blew up a relatives microwave recently, they had the kerrygold butter, ya know the one wrapped in tinfoil? Well itwas like a rock and just wasnt goin on my bread so my brain, having an off day, decided to lash it in the microwave, turning my back on it fellin well impressed by myself until i heard my sisters scream and turned to see a big giant blue flame where my butter once was!! Simpler times..........

WhaT did Steven Segal put in the microwave in Under Seige? That killed a guy, perfectly timed too. Id say a jar of lighter fluid with a fork in it.

    OMG !!!!

    Actually that's an Urban myth.
Water expands by 1,600 times when it boils and people do that every day.

"a gas 1000 times more dense than the liquid"
    - do you have the primary of an H-Bomb lying round somewhere ?

    ========================
Granite heats up in a microwave, never got my hands on a nice slab to try.
You can use plastic pressure cookers to speed up chemical reactions in a microwave
And if you get the right material you can use a microwave as a furnace for melting down gold n' stuff.

Some relation of mine washed her cat, and was trying to dry it but to no avail, so she decides to microwave it to dry it and the whole thing exploded!!!
I'm fairly certain it was my great aunt... crazy old bag...!

A metal scouring pad, with a white wine vinegar, a teabag and bread soda for two minutes.

JoeJoeM that's what Segal used in Under Seige.

A cd produces some really fancy light shows. I just love vaporising useless grunge rock music* !!

*Don't try this at home kids!!

Putting all this crap in generally destroys your microwave oven.

What I have seen in a microwave.

Eggs. - Wifes friend put 3 of them in as she hadn't had time to boil them, it blew the door off and couldn't be closed.

Potatoes - Explode, but not that bad.

Grapes - Explode. Removed one from the stem and it was like a little jet engine going around.

CDs, Tinfoil - lightning storms. Very bad for microwave.

Bar of Soap - (Brainaic) Basically expands the soap to totally fill the microwave.

let us know how you get on. :p From the TV show looked like the MW was fuked after it.

    Btw, another trick.
    1. Remove rotating table.
    2. Put in a large mug of cold water fill to close the top.
    3. Full power for 5 minutes.
    4. slowly move it out of the MW and put on a table.
    5. put one spoon of coffee and stir (might help if you wear gloves).

    found this :

steel wool would burn, not explode, but if somehow the ingredients in the small glass bottle (looking suspiciously like vinegar) and the contents of the plastic jug (an unlikely container for an explosive) were capable of such an explosion, then the ignition of the steel wool would not likely have occurred just after the shutoff.

still looking for more bits though.

My understanding is that because of the way the microwave heats the water it forms a "skin" on top. When you break this tension with the spoon the energy is rapidly released and the cup explodes.

Dont try this at home kiddies.
