I have always been wondering bout this, is it all a load of bull or do you actually realise it when your in love,the word love seems like a load a bollox to me but that could be cause i ain't found it yet.Thought i did a few times but i know now it def wasn't. A story bout how i fu**** up once and maybe missed out on this love thing,lol. Was going out with someone who i def shouldn't have been. Broke up with her and was feeling a little bit strange bout it. That day found out that a friend who is seriously SERIOUSLY hot wanted to meet me. Apparently she wanted to with a while but i wasn't to sure bout it and didn't want to go straight from one to another and **** up two friendships(was still friends with the ex) left it for a week and ended up being with her but was finding it a bit strange cause i couldn't change from thinking of her as a good friend.then came one of the biggest regrets of my life.i was very drunk the next day and was at a match, on the bus on the way back home i was with a total minger who gave me a hand job on the back of a bus!lol.In school the next monday it was everywhere and i was starting to feel like a right prick(yup i most def was) there was no way she was gonna go out with me after that but was still talking to me. ages after that we were at a friends house and were all drinking,was starting to look like i had a chance of sorting it out with her and was nearly with her but nothing happened,found out after she def wanted to. but nothing ever did happen again.she mentioned something bout it one night,a smart comment. i never felt like such an idiot,every time i'd see her i was reminded at what i threw away(my idea of a perfect gf) and still to this day there is barely a day goes by that i don't think about her.

so ya it's too true, like the song goes "don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got till it's gone"

to the op, maybe you won't be able to get this girl outta your head so you might be better off to see if you have a chance with her again, finality is much better than spending years wondering what might have been, i realise that now,i should have tried again.

Love is what love is, it knows no boundaries, no faults. Love does not see less, it sees more, and because it sees more, it is willing to see less. Love is when you want, need, care about, every single miniscule aspect of that person. You may acknowledge their downfalls but you don't care, you brush them aside, because they are part of them, in your eyes they can do no wrong. Love cannot be tamed, controled, turned on and off like a tap. Love is not just a word but, a life.

As for realising this when the person is gone, yep you feel like part of you is missing, like your soul is torn in two.

Try be friends with her, it'll hurt like fcuk but try come to the conclusion that, if you do love her you want to see her happy, and if that's not with you then that is okay. If you can't be with her be friends with her. Maybe tell her this, cuz I was told it before, by a guy I know it was true from and it really makes you realis jut how much the person loves you.

Love is just a collection of feel good chemicals and hormones (PEA's) produced in the brain in order to make us stick with someone, and reproduce. The kick is, after a few years, we build up a tolerance to the drug/chemicals, and the effect wears off.

Think of it as temporary insanity, or a heroin kick.

to answer the orginal question from my point of view , when i see the person my heart starts racing and im overwhelmed and i get that feeling in my stomach , and this happens everytime i see them now its been a LONG time but hope to feel that way again soon

Ive been watching moderators reactions to posts etc recently particularly when ppl get banned etc. Ive noticed I like Cake is banned yet he has only posted to 2 threads. Ehhh, am i missing the point here or is this message forum turning into a police state free speech place where u can say what u like as long as the moderators are ok with it???? Maybe they should put a disclaimer on the site saying "All posts subject to approval"....

I like cake was banned because it was a second account of the previously banned user jazzbandit. Opening a new account to get around a ban means another site ban. It's one of those no brainers really. If your first account is site banned you're not generally going to be allowed to just re-register to get around it.

There's no need for a disclaimer. This is a privately owned site and free speech doesn't apply here (nor in Ireland for that matter).
