I doubt you will find anyway to be rid of them before work, dress in a way to conceal them as best you can. If anyone does notice just laugh about it and don't let it get to you. Make some joke about feeding him first next time or something.

(Unless it's your boss, act surprised then worried and tell him/her you think you have meningitis and you need to go home for at least two weeks :D )

Pretend it's a birthmark. Then pretend you got it removed.

Don't be silly. A hickey is not a sign of disrespect.

However, not knowing what a hickey is meant to be is an embarrasment, but they're probably young, so lay off.

A hickey is otherwise known as a love bite, and is never *meant* to leave a bruise unless it happens to be a very passionate moment. A love bite is meant to consist of kissing and gentle biting perhaps, but never actually sucking like a hoover with the aim of maiming your partner, which unfortunately seems to be understanding that most young fellas have!

Talkin from experience,--i had 3 huge hickeys on my neck like a feckin necklace,(i was very very very drunk, dont remember even kissin the fella!!)--i used ice coz it hurt so much, that cooled them down, then put toothpaste on them everynight, and i bought that colour corrective stuff,(it really works!!) and put makeup over them, and wore a neck scarf...and my mother didnt notice!! they lasted an entire week. my first hickey(s) will definately be my last!!! just thinking about them makes me feel the pain!!

No your right its not disrespectful, giving them a hickey is the height of respect, sure isnt branding them the best sign of respect?

    *yawn*

    You must have fun relationships...

"Don't touch my ass, only kissing and missionary position for sex"

It was a bit of f*cking fun, he wasn't smacking her ass and calling her his slut (which is also not disrespectful if neither of the people mind), stop being so bloody uptight. She probably *shock, horror* ENJOYED IT, even!!!

    Crazy notion, I know.

    *Double yawn*
You dont know my relationships so thanks for the sweeping statement on them.
So here is a sweeping statement in return
Clearly you must have so much more fun, going around treating women like objects and not people, and marking them with your hickey's.
    Congrats
If she enjoyed it so much why is she asking how to cover them up?

Get an industrial sander and sand the rest of your exposed skin. You can tell everyone you went to morroco for the weekend and forgot suncream.

    *triple yawn* etc etc

How is it treating them like objects? It's not branding them, for f*ck sake, it's just the aftermath of kissing, etc., their neck. Is it treating men like objects if it's done to them? Or does this only apply to women?

She's asking to cover it up because it's unsightly/embarressing (her friends might go, 'ooooh, yooouuu've got a boy-friend!' and the likes), I presume. Do you think the guy held her down, said, "you're mine and only mine!" and started chewing on her neck? No, they were probably "making out", and this happened (could have even been an accident, as has happened with me and my girlfriend; regardless, it's not a big f*cking deal).

    Is ADUB? annoying anyone else???

Hickies are fcuking hillarious and the only way around them is to give in to the hillarity! TRUST ME! I'm still branded because of one I got six months ago, and at first going into schol it was like "lean on desk, hand on neck" and get some practice with the aul make up skills, which didn't do much, considering the fact it was THE DEMON HICKY. Seriously! There are people on here to prove that! It lasted a good two/three weeks! And was not too far off the size of the palm of your hand! Or my hand as the case may be!
And to make it funnier, it was known as the demon hicky and I was known as "Holy Moley" cuz the guy I was with at the time went/goes by Jebus.
As for Dave and ADUB and your disrespect, and "owning" a girl, no, it was "heat of the moment" stlye, and he didn't even realise he'd done it till later. And yes it was rather enjoyable!
Use concealer, eyeshadow, porcelene foundation and work on your blending to cover it.

Oh and it gets better, the hungry beggar is a member here cough*r4ph*cough.
And I still get onto him about it cuz its so funny to watch him squirm and apologise profoundly, no matter how much I tell him I gave into the funny of it!
Oh and the parents reaction was even better! About a week maybe two later, at the dinner table Da says "What's on your neck?!" Makes an attempt at examining me, turns, says, "Mother, have you seen her neck!" mam looks blankly, da, "She's got a love bite!!!" Had a rant for a few minutes, while I squirmed in my chair, mam turns and says "Oh yeah that, I seen that ages ago" She throws a glance at me and says "Well you should'a seen him", Father continues his rant.... Very funny!
Little did they know that it was well healed at this stage cuz I had been in Spain for a week and they hadn't seen it before I went!

On a side note, : Hickies on boobies? DO NOT heal easily! Or quickly!

yeeaah twas a hickey, it was so funny! I was kinda saying "oh sh!t" to myself for a while but I just had to give into the funny!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Le Rack

Just remembered another funny fact about it. It started out a black/purple colour, and stayed like that for a good while, then it went kinda blue/purple with pink bits, then when it finally started to heal, it went brown/yellow/green!
