Its a good example of how the media fell over themselves to relate those attacks with the attacks of 9/11 in order to increase the fear and the strength of their story even though there was very little comparison.

Am i the only one who doesnt really care about George Bush? Feck it, he has planes at his disposal, id prob play with them too.

First post is a bit vague though. ie. George Bush was at a baseball game and decided to send in a few low flying planes. Any particular reason why? I cant see him doin it just for the craic like

IT was to celebrate the fact he was at a baseball game. He loves his baseball, our george. HE celebrates everything with low flying aircraft. His birthday, he celebrats saturdays, christmas, easter, holloween.. Hell, even when he takes a crap, he just loves to celebrate it with low flying aircraft. personally, i think if george bush was at a baseball game, and he had a fly-by, then it was a silly thing to do, considering all that has happened.

however, there is always two sides to every story. it could have beenmeant as a show of stability and power in an effort to show the public that their country is being protected.

Come off it. People hiding under their cars and crying because of some low flying fighter planes (which were probably brought in to say 'look, fighter planes, your safe') is, quite frankly, one of the most pathetic things i've ever heard. When I hear a jet over me I dont say 'AHHHH the terrorists are attacking' I look up and see what it is, sure if it was a huge jumbo jet coming at me at 500 miles an hour 200ft off the ground, i'd probably **** a brick, but i'd have the sense to apply occams razor (The simplest explanation is the best or When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras)

I think the bigger question here is _why_ they thought immediatly of a terrorist attack. I'm sure it would have nothing to do with the media spewing tripe like 'piracy help terrorist' etc :rolleyes:
