I was working in Waterford Crystal and in one of the shops one of the girls had abba on...before we even knew he was there. He told us to turn it off. I said no. (not for the love of Abba you understand)

I've met President Bill Clinton, John Hume and Rudolph Guiliani.

Rudolph Guiliani is a very nice guy. Met him while playing golf in Ballybunion in 2003.

Aside from that, Gay Byrne and The Corrs.

John Hume, and that's about it. Not many celebs come to Donegal. Though saying that apparently Liam Gallagher is partial to visitng a town 15 minutes down the road from me, and Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick own a house in Donegal too.

    - Noel Gallagher: after their first Irish gig in the Tivoli in '94 i think
    - Liam Gallagher: see above
    - Tony something: original Oasis drummer at same gig.
    - EMF: Outside the Tivoli years ago
    - Ride: Outside the Tivoli years ago
    - Inspiral Carpets: Outside the Tivoli years ago
    - Elvis Presley's cousin, Norma Presley (famous in the Elvis World)
    - Michael Stipe: Upstairs in O'Conners Jeans some years back. He was quite rude. I said 'Hey how's it going Mike', and he said 'sorry I don't sign autographs'
    - Erin McKeown: After her Dublin gig earlier this year.

Had I been alive when Elvis was (and not just for 2 months!), I would have made it my business to meet him too.. He was not a difficult man to meet.

Steve Wall - (After a gig in Sligo for the Stunnings paradise tour)
Michael Duignan - (Last sunday after the disgrace that was tipp v galway)

I couldn't care less about meeting most of the "Celebs" other people have posted. Actually i'd probably kick most of them in the head.

Btw who invented Big Brother ? Whoever it is earned the first place on my killing list, So now David Beckham, the Creator of the crazy frog and Donal O'Grady have to wait longer.

    john lennon.

1978. Achill. was rather young and up on the aul fellas shoulders. On front lawn of a hotel there, massive crowd - dad knew *something* was going on...da pushes way to front saying things like "I've a child here"...helicopter lands, geezer with funny hair and sunglasses gets of, followed by ugly japanses bird...makes a beeline for, um, our direction...running cos you do that when getting out of a chopper and the blades ain't stopped...

kinda bumps into me dad and with me atop of him, sending me wobbling.

Bloke stops me from falling, grins at me, grins at me dad and says in that scouse r voice"sorry mate", jumps into waiting limosine with wotserface and away they went...

Well it was actually Mulranny - which isn't *on* achill island - it's a few miles this side. And of course, you know that Achill is connected to us by road anyway, and thus i'm sure they even had the occasional Ford Capri there in '78... :)
