Seen your one Sarah Jessica Parker from sex and the city and her husband Matt Broderick in the shop where I work in Donegal. Didnt really recognise her as Im not the biggest sex and the city fan, but I had to move her childs pram out of the way to get past her. Apparently they have a holiday home somewhere in Donegal.

Sean Connery and his wife in Dublin airport.
The guy who always played the Russian KGB colonel in the Roger Moore 007 movies - met him in Shannon airport.
Joanna Lumley in Stanstead - she is seriously tiny.
James Hetfield on Grafton Street a few years back - he was being mobbed by barely teenage fan girls.
Saw Gerry Adams driving out of a laneway at the side of an ex's house in Drumcondra. I confronted her about it, but she wouldn't spill the beans on their illicit affair.
    Met Morrissey in Bewleys.
Eddie Irvine in what was then Planet Hollywood. Total wanker. Another time, he's out for a drive with an Italian friend in his Ferrari around Killiney and a friend of mine's daughter is out for a walk at the same time. Now, she's a fine thing so, naturally, Eddie pulls over and starts spouting some ****e like "Hey, baby. Wanna go for a ride?" to which she replies "Not in a million years." to which he replies "WTF?! Don't you know who I am?!??" to which she replies (knowing full well who he was) "No". His friend broke his ****e laughing and Eddie tore off up the road at great speed. Gob****e. :D
My girlfriend tells me that one of the girls from Fair City used to live in my apartment block. She had the parking space next to mine, it appears. I guess that doesn't really count, then.
Was sitting beside Dara O'Briain on a flight to Barcelona.
Played a gig with the Hothouse Flowers a few years ago.
Was at my cousin's wedding in England when Madness turned up (he used to write some songs for them).
Met Lloyd Cole a few years back at the National Stadium. My other cousin (brother of the above) was a session musician and did a tour with the Commotions.

Haha, good for her!! Makes a nice change from the usual giggly responses at anyone remotely famous

Gay Byrne last time I was in Dublin. Most recent celeb sightings in a water-hole... hmm. Michelle Marsh about a month ago and one of the blonde birds from Hollyoaks a few months before that.

    The non-fishbowl effect...

Met Bam Margera in Kylemore in Stephen's Green shopping centre.

Sound bloke. Apparently in the US its illegal to show someones face without their permission on tv... so you've to pay them $100 to sign some waiver..

    Good conversation!

Got to meet The Prodigy in their private tent at Witnness a couple of years ago.
The Manic Street Preachers at I think the Heineken Green Energy Festival few years ago.
JJ72 the same weekend as the Manics
Paddy Casey at the last Green Energy Festival
Had lunch with Ray Darcy in the early '90s at the Feile in Thurles
Talked to JP McManus at Punchestown
Niall Quinn at some other race day.

Loads of others that I can't remember from all my years back stage at gigs from early '90s until now :D

Saw Bono standing outside the Shelbourne a couple of years ago.

Met Michael Flatley in Cafe en Seine and was talking to him. Not at all arrogant, contrary to popular impression.
Have also seen Denis Irwin and Jim Corr in Cafe en Seine.
Have seen Eamon Dunphy around town on numerous occasions, shared a taxi with him once.
Brian O'Driscoll on a number of occasions in various nightclubs.
Vincent Browne on a couple of occasions around town.
Ken Doherty, the snooker player, in a pub a few years back.

    Hmm..that's all I think.

Mark from JJ72 at one of our gigs, eh, looking pretentious.

Met Ronnie Wood of Rolling Stones fame in Time in Naas twice. Once at a Hothouse Flowers gig, the other time just a night out. Nice chap, likes to go mad on the dancefloor too trying to pull every young one he sees.

Shane McGowan at a shop I worked in, ****er dribbled on the counter. Then again at the airport he had a 2 ltr bottle of "7-UP" with him.

Louis Walsh at the same shop.

Damien Duff came into the shop before too, I'm not that into football I recognised him cos he was driving off in a sweet silver Merc that had an "X1 DUF" reg plate, then I saw the name on his Visa slip. Anyone I tell that to can't believe that I didn't recognise him imediately.

Also Mondo and Leo from Fair City.

The crew from Dirt Sanchez were in Time one night too. Drinking piss and walking around arse naked were two highlights of the night for those idiots.

Kiera Knighltly - was working on a film that she was in.

Clive Owen - Same deal.. I had no idea who he was.

Rolling stones.. in a chinese in Naas minus Mick Jagger, was only a kid.. but they bought me and my brother and sister every ice cream off the menu!

Emma Leden - Saw her in.. Stephens Green shopping centre.. great boobs.

Joe Lynch (Think that's his name..Dinny from Glenroe!!) - On a train, I shouted at him 'Hey you are that guy!!!' ..

Samantha Mumba - The other day at Punchestown.. does no one else think she is massive? Not fat like.. just huge.. like an Amazonian woman or something!

Eddie Jordan - Same deal - At Punchestown

Frank and Marianne from Bosco! - Frank at Dublin airport.. and Marianne on her farm in Wicklow.

Ritchie Kavanagh (Aon gah trur focal) - Picked a fight with him at a urinal..while he was pissing and I was pissing. His 'security' warned me off. I did a piddle on the floor..

Hector (looked, sounded, and gave general impression he was a member of the travelling community..) - Punchestown... again.

Niall Quinn - A few times.

Proabably a few more.. hung over.. brain not functioning.

I actually had a pint with Billy Joel and didn't even know it!! Only copped when a woman started singing "Uptown Girl". This was in the old Norseman before it got turned into a plastic paddy bar. He was a nice and unassuming guy. Even when his "cover" was blown he stuck around and chatted to the locals.

Wow, I'm impressed. Big Billy Joel fan.

    Not many myself:

    Brian O'Driscoll in Whelans
Ray D'Arcy outside HMV on Grafton Street
Gay Byrne on the third fairway of Howth Golf Club, he said hello and put me off my shot!
Not really a celeb but Bertie - going for a jog with two bodyguard goons. He looked completely fuct, he could barely manage a wave.
Eric Cantona at a beach football tournament in Belgium. Got my picture taken with him, legend.

My mate met Elisha Cuthbert (the dipsey blonde from 24) in the International bar. He was standing near her and said "Aren't you on TV?" and she just said "NO" and turned her back on him! :) Apparently she's tiny too, just like Avril Lavigne.

To the guy who saw JP McManus, I hope you decked that ****er for selling United down the swanny!
