How did you find boards?

Someone asked me too "sign" an anti-eircom petition, then soccerboards took over my life in 2002 for a bit. Weird, I don't even like football much now!

I posted under a different username back in college, can't remember who told me about it (around the '99 - '01 time), left college and had no access to proper internet, only at home on a 56k.

Then I stopped working in a particular job where I had no internet access, and while I was job searching I came back to boards, on my join date.

I got a job where I have internet access, then got dsl at home, so am a regular. Then I subscribed, and here I am.

Was reccomended years ago, forgot, got mentioned again, forgot, got influenced into signing up, forgot about my account and (honest to god) saw it scrawled on a toilet seat in a cinema in Cork and it encouraged my irrepressible urge to tell you all what i think of the forums.

I discovered boards, during the winter of 2001 while activly trying to find out was RTE coming to the Sky Digital Platfrom, I discovered it through the ICDG website, I registered shortly after wards, and was banned after 6 months i then held off for another 6 months before re-registering as netwhizkid and i v'e never looked back.

I Just finished playing Quake 2. Back when it was dieing out and cs was in beta about 2-3 years ago. Never signed up for ages and dont post much but always a good read. Especially irc the stuff you see if you go AFK in there for days.

After over a year of watching my bf rant on the politics board he finally convinced me to take a look by pointing out the Battlestar Galactica forum. So then I looked for a while before I signed on and BSG ended for the year and that board is pretty quite now.

But I'm afraid I've started to share my bf's addiction, although I've promised myself I will never look at the politics forum!
