Spent from 9:00 to 9:30 wasting my time on aloud.com then one click on seetickets.com after seeing it on the glasto forums and I had my tickets. Was slightly worried that it was so easy but it went through the same booking system so has to be legit, awaiting emails confirmation now! Happy Days...........

    Did the exact same thing....

    Oh the relief....

I had a heart attack when I was submitting my details... the pages wasn't loading....

then I realised that in my sleepen state I didn't press the submit button....

    :D

that shepton mallet thing is a lil crap alright.... we're flying into bristol on the tuesday and making a week's holiday of it.... Bristol is fairly close to shepton mallet though so that should be cool :)

anyone know any nice way of getting out to there though... is there a train station etc.

i had heard there were busses, but dont know, think there are definitely busses from shepton mallet (what a name!)

there are no direct public buses to Shepton Mallet from the airport. U can get an airlink type bus from the airport to bristol center but i think you have to get the regular service bus to SM as i dont think the offical festie buses from bristol stop there. So there lies the problem with public transport.

Last year there was a festival service from SM to the site but I heard this was sketchy enough

If there is a few of ya club to gether and get a minibus/ taxi - it solves alll the crap and is apporximately the same price per person if you book ahead

    Per the efestivals msg board

"i just phoned aloud on the phone number that was given and they said that they are working in batches and have just started working the orders out. They said it could take as much as the end of the day before everyone has their emails"

Eases this waiting game a little bit

Happy days, dont even know who is playing and dont really care to be honest.

But if one or two of the rumours from this list are playing, then i will be a happy man.

Not so lucky - wish I had looked on here yesterday. Spent the morning pressing redial on the phone. Aload website just gave broken links to all gigs. I was convinced it was an Eircom problem.

It seems that the website handled the first 10-15 mins fine, but after that it was very hit and miss.

I overslept and didn't try the site until 9:25 unfortunately. I know some people who booked several times over getting multiple confirmations later. There must be a lot of tickets that have to be cancelled. I don't suppose there will be enough to go on open sale.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 240 ✭✭humbleCounty

they had a second sale last year sometime towards the end of may, so i'd keep an eye out for that, its a pity for the people who submitted multiple times, does that mean they wont get any tickets?

I wouldn't lose hope yet, there was a different of eight hours between the time I received mine and my sister received hers. You'd probably be better off spending your time on the Glastonbury forums too, you're more likely to get answers there than here...

The guys who haven't received email confirmation, I'd give Aloud a buzz just to see whats happening.

Has anyones credit card been charged yet?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 16,659 ✭✭✭✭dahamsta

Actually I notice the front page of the Glastonbury website now says: "If you have not already got a confirmed order you will not be able to get a ticket for this year."

Just to be sure we're all on the same page, what did you guys get as a "confirmation"? Mine is below, the name is blacked out because I put the name of the guy I'm going with ahead of mine on the order forum. The XXXXXXXX is an eight digit number. Anyone picked up from Shepton Mallet before? Presumably we can just show this email and ID to collect our tickets?

That's exactly the same mail that I got dahamsta - Except curiously my postage and packaging is £4 and that's to a UK address as opposed to an Irish one (which is a little puzzling...).

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 16,659 ✭✭✭✭dahamsta

They don't post tickets outside the UK, you have to collect them in Shepton Mallet before hitting the festival. I can see that being a major pain in the arse.

    adam

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,609 ✭✭✭comet

Well the reason we weren't charged the £4 postage and packing is because international buyers have to collect so we get them slightly cheaper, but i'd rather pay the £4 and get it sent out than the hassle of trying to pick them up with traffic and queues and everything else....
